I happened to snap a rod the other night while fishing with some other lads.
The cello was still on the handle and advice given from the lads was to return
it. It is not rocket science to see the advantage of the cello.

I'm very surprised that your young, gay, friends would suggest that. Snapping a
rod is rarely a manufacturing defect. It's most often due to misuse.
