I think my grandchildren know me for who I really am, and I'm very comfortable with that. They also know that my favorite TV programs are BBC America's "Last of the summer Wine; As time goes by; and Keeping up appearances", which should tell anyone a lot about who I really am. Other than a 'going on 79 old fart.' Oh, and the traditional values you stated have never been a part of my core values, but then, nobody's perfect. No, nobody's perfect........but I be go ta hell if you ain't damned close! :) You are an inspiration to us all, and I vote you go to heaven. Wolfgang |

It would be *nice* to live in a nice place instead of a fixer upper. But when thats all you can afford... Yeah, fixer uppers suck, especially now that winter is approaching with all its inclement weather and its attendant childhood ailments. You be sure not to let those boys get caught in a draft, eh? The article expressed pretty much what I felt after my depression waned (4 Leinie Octoberfests helped). But I also am reminded of a very poignant photograph that friend once showed me. It was taken circa 1935 and showed a couple of rows of very young kids, one of whom was my friend's mother. They are standing in front of a big banner that read "German Jewish Youth" (or something to that effect). It was a group that was started to show the Nazis that the Jews were loyal Germans too. According to my friend the only one to survive the Reich was her mother, whose parents snuck out a couple years later, eventually ending up in Wilmot WI by way of Argentina. I've been to Wilmot......many times. What's wrong with Argentina? :( The point being, I'm not going anywhere now but I give no guarantees about the future. Pick someplace warm.....with fish. I'll come visit. :) Wolfgang um.......just leave the address under that odd rock.....in the stone fence.....the one near the big oak tree. you know the one. |
