Actually, I am not that much into football. I quieter type pub with a fine
selection of beers, or possibly a place to get a decent steak and chat
afterwards.....not the hurry up type of place.

An excellent attraction would be a tavern with some good country or
bluegrass, possibly acoustic, not too far from an economical hotel/motel.
Within walking distance for those who have trouble with their balance in the
later hours , not to put too fine a point on it.

Say, Friday or Saturday night?

So, just how big of a durn fool would one be to spend a couple of days

in
the vicinity of Robbinsville in winter trying to catch a few troutlings?
Say,.... oh...I don't know...what about the week betwixt Christmas and

New
Years?

Danl

I may have to be in the neighborhood for other reasons....

bud, if you put your ass in the water in the snowbird drainage in late
december, we may not be takin' it out until early april...

'im talkin' *serious* icing on the line and guides.

why not drive 4 hours east, and spend a couple lost days with

yfitons
wayno (football, whisky, and renda mcrae speight)

i thought the renda mcrae tag line might get a...uh...rise from someone
from... dayton. imo, the only acceptable reason for going to greensboro
would be to visit wayno and renda, or perhaps to stuff dollars in a
working girl's garter g.

Danl,

It all depends on the weather. Right now in the Asheville area it is 58
degrees. It was unseasonably warm today. Will it be that way around
Christmas? Who knows? Some years yes, some years no.

I've lived in Western NC for almost 22 years and the one thing you can
depend on is that the weather is fickle.

Also bear in mind that all the rivers around here have had some damage from
Hurricanes Frances and Ivan.

Hope this helps.

Sorry to say that I do not know who or what Renda McRae is, perhaps you
could enlighten me. But in all probability I will be in the Greensboro area
this weekend.

I 'WILL NOT.' stuff dollars in a working girl's garter as I feel that I can
put my own money to much better use . . .I'd prefer to help some poor waif
who's saving up to go to college....

john . . . google has no reference to renda . . .
