3 Greatest Movies All Time
"Wayne Harrison" wrote in message m... "Wolfgang" wrote Oh well, in no particular order..... "To Kill a Mockingbird" "Dr. Strangelove" "The Outlaw Josey Wales" yeah, well, "mockingbird" is in my top three, for obvious reasons, i reckon. Amen. the other two: casablanca; Bogart always makes me giggle......can't help it. I guess it's because he always reminds me of Ahnold.....or vice versa. NOBODY does a better Ahnold than Ahnold........ditto for Bogie. :) and, though made for tv, still the one, the best, never to be surpassed: lonesome dove. Ranks very high for fidelity to the book, and one of the most brilliant pieces of casting ever to come out of Hollywood. Wolfgang |

... So what are your 3 greatest movies all time: I've got - Deliverance, The Deer Hunter, Casablanca, On the Waterfront, Cool hand Luke, Pulp Fiction, Jaws-The first one only. Casablanca, It's A Wonderful Life, You Can't Take It With You, The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, The Unforgiven, The Indiana Jones Trilogy (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade). (That's almost as close to 3 as your list. ;-) -- Ken Fortenberry |

Thanks everyone for the reply's. There are some fantastic movies listed
above. If Tom brings another hurricane or just regular old flood to any future clave's we will have the first annual "DVD Classic Movie Clave" at my place. Take comfort in knowing there's a dry bear proof place you all can go to unwind in the mountains of Pennsylvania. |

The new cabin on penns creek is all cleaned out! By spring I should have the place looking pretty damn good. This weekend I'm putting down a new carpet in the livingroom and setting up a fly dressing table to seat 4. I hope there's no slave labor law in Weikert, no one stays for free! Now all I need are some DVD's to stock pile for when Tom Littleton comes to the valley and brings a hurricane with him. So what are your 3 greatest movies all time: I've got - Deliverance, The Deer Hunter, Casablanca, On the Waterfront, Cool hand Luke, Pulp Fiction, Jaws-The first one only. Bruce OK, OK, I'll play nice...well, not so much "nice" as "not smart-assed"... IMO, there are lots of great movies, and just like music, any list that'd I write at 6:45pm today would likely change by 7:45pm, and would certainly change by 10:45pm tonight or 6am tomorrow. For example, if I get one more call tonight for "the homeowner" that starts out "this isn't a sales call," any movie in which telemarketers are violently beaten with the entire New York City Yellow AND white pages would be the greatest of all time. However, after a martini, a nice steak and good wine with my honey, and a little Christmas cheer with friends, aw, hell, Gigli ain't THAT bad and I'd actually sit through (most of, anyway) a chick flick without observing (well, as often, anyway) that it'd probably be better if Jerry Bruckheimer had been involved in making it...
