Tiger is already at 10.4.1 and looks solid as a rock to me.

As for your Powerbook running hot try one of these

http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/icurve/

That and a wireless keyboard and mouse ($115 from CDW)
and your machine is hot as a pistol but cool inside.

RE Mu floats an interesting rumor

Microsoft suck zhit bigtime.
Microsoft is the perfect counter example to the idea
of the magic of the market place: the most revolting
software won the race.

I bought a thousand dollars worth of Transmeta when
they first openned up...watched it double in less than
a week, sold off half, and now hold $500 worth of not much.

They do have a good idea--sort of the hardware equivalent
of the Java programming language. Anything bad for Microsoft is good for
everbody else....

What does this have to do with fishing?

what does tossing pork rinds have
to do with *fly fishing* ? ;-)

Bait fishing with the flyrod? ...maybe it's similar to the
contrarian concept...like the Sioux warriors in Black Elk
speaks who did everything backwards.

Actually fishing porkrind frogs in the weeds with a flyrod is a very revered
old "down jersey" tactic for Eastern Chain Pickerel. And for years the
record came from NJ.

Also, fishing a tiny porkrind minnow, wet with one very small split shot,
is a very effective way to dredge plate-sized "Calico Bass" (Crappies) in
deep heavy structure (pilings, sunken forest etc..)

Well, excuse me, but "down jersey" tactics, even record setting
"down jersey" tactics, don't necessarily qualify as *fly fishing*
in my book.

Never could see crappie fishing with a fly rod. I use ultra-light
spinning gear, 2 lb. test and a 1/32 oz. bucktail jig. Way better
than a fly rod in my not so humble opinion.

You know of course that Jesus was known to use worms particularly after a
heavy rain, right?
