How that hell do you expect me to insult you, if you won't give me anymore
than the above to work with!?!

Ummm, you could remove the commas and claim that I said you were
a job instead of a person?.....

.....go ask Wolfie, he has more experience in this. :-)

You can't be insulted.

The above would be an excellent suggestion, if I had done the same for
Joey's previous word-jumble, but as I didn't do anything to change the
structure of Joey's incomprehensible ramblings? .....well yo get the
picture, right?

.....go ask Wolfie, he has more experience in this. :-)

I ask Wolfgang, very infrequently, for advice on much of anything. While I
consider Wolfgang to be a fine, out of town, fishin' buddy--and I think that
he will agree with what follows--I can't *really* say that we are close
friends, as we have only met, face to face, on three occasions. I would be
more inclined to say that Wolfgang and I are familiar acquaintances, who
have fly fishing and other things in common, and generally enjoy one
another's company, as long as I am not drinking. While I would like to
think that Wolfgang and I are friends, I must confess that we have never
discussed the depth of our relationship.

With respect to Wolfgang's experience, "in this," I can't recall anytime
that Wolfgang has restructured another ROFFian's post to make it appear that
they said one thing, when in actuality, they said something else?

If you have specific example, of Wolfgang's treachery, please feel free to
post them. :~^ )~

No, found "another" lost lake. By the way, if these guys tell you its
a "short cut" to the second meadow on Slough, run as quickly as you can
in the opposite direction.
More to follow when I'm conscious (which doesn't seem to make a
difference with a lot of the posters here).

You'll just have to wait for Warrens Fawn Lake TR. He should be getting out
of the park tonight or tomorrow as Jeff is flying out tomorrow as is Mike -I
think.

Frank should be home by now- he might tell a beaver story, hard to say.

That's true.

While I consider Wolfgang to be a fine, out of town, fishin' buddy

A most accurate assessment, with which one can hardly disagree.

--and I think that he will agree with what follows--I can't *really* say
that we are close friends, as we have only met, face to face, on three

I take the accuracy of the count on faith and thus agree.

I would be more inclined to say that Wolfgang and I are familiar
acquaintances, who have fly fishing and other things in common, and
generally enjoy one another's company, as long as I am not drinking.

All true.....um, except for the drinking part. I'm o.k. with that as long
as no one (including......nay, ESPECIALLY me) is doing so to excess.

While I would like to think that Wolfgang and I are friends,

I think we are.

I must confess that we have never discussed the depth of our relationship.

No, but wouldn't it be fun to curl up in our jammies in front of the
campfire sometime and do that? :)

Well, if nothing else, it'll be fun to sit back for a while and enjoy the
spectacle (even if it can't be witnessed directly) of half a dozen or so
****-weasels mining the archives.

By the way, you really should give serious thought to taking some time off
in September and joining the rest of us illiterates in da Yoop, eh?

I had a great day on Slough Creek with Frank and Willi and Danl and
Chas. It was easily my best Slough Creek day. We now know a shortcut to
the second meadow, if anyone's interested. :-)

Frank, I owe you three spools of Rio tippet -- 3x, 4x, and 5x. Sorry
about that. I left a lot of my **** in Willi's van when we reloaded into
Frank's truck. Danl and Frank saved my ass with spare gear. Thanks,
guys. I had visions of hanging out at Frank's truck all day.

I was disappointed not to fish the Ruby. Its my favorite stream in that
area.

When I drove to the Quake Lake clave site on the Madison I passed Silver
Creek and Henry's Fork, both of which are fishing well according to
reports. I fished them both on the way home. Henry's Fork was not
productive for me (middle of day), but I checked out a new access -- the
Mailbox. It looks promising for a windless morning or evening. It's an
easy 20-minute hike in. Three Japanese-speaking anglers were
monopolizing the risers in the huge pool above the bridge. They were
having a very good time!

Silver Creek was kick ass. The tricos are starting up.

I'm breathlessly awaiting the Fawn Lake TR. It was either a 3-mile or an
11-mile hike in, depending on whom you listened to.
