What a picture that would make on ABPF .

When Janet and I got ready to leave to go see Katie and Maggie, I ran to the
boat and got the keeper board. She asked me what I was going to do with
that and I mistakenly told her.

The "LOOK" that I received at that point told me that if the board came into
the truck, I just might be sleeping on the couch tonight.

Then, to make matters worse, I got to the hospital and the batteries were
dead in my camera! Oh well, I suppose that there'll be other opportunities
to take pictures.

Congratulations, Steve. You must now be relieved: after all those years
looking like a grandpa, you finally are one! ;-)

Well, it finally happened. With five kids over the age of 17, four of

them
girls, it was bound to happen.

Late last night, my daughter Katie and my son-in-law Hans presented me

with
my first grandchild! Margrit Katherine Breitenmoser (6 lb. 8 oz., don't
know the length) came into this world.

Well over a year ago, while at the St. Croix factory, I found a marvelous
ultralight blank, slightly over 4' long. I bought it, planning on

building
a rod for my first grandkid. Now, I have to get some pink thread to wrap
the guides! :-)

I've already bought camo baby clothes and a presentation grade, break

action
side by side popgun is on order.

This is going to be sooooooo much fun!

So, I guess you guys can call me Grandpa.

Congrats Steve. I take my 2 grandkids up to our cottage a few times
each summer & man do they like to fish. So far it's been bluegill off
the dock but this year the 6 year old girl says she wants to catch a
pike . Oh well I still have a few years left to teach her about the evil
of toothies. But I have to say that each time they land a gill the smile
on their face is priceless
