That brings up who would be good for the office. Bob Weinburger,

a few others. Not a darn one of them I can think of that I'd guess
would be willing to serve.

Wait a sec. What are the duties, responsibilities, authority, power, salary,
benefits and perks of the office? For the right package along with absolute
power and authority, I might think about it. 8)

I have a hunch, just an eentsy tiny one, that the people he calls
morons or idiots are people he'd rather not have for friends.

I do not think that you would be voted the president of ROFF

lousy at it wouldn't be willing to serve, either. It's just that kind
of place.

Now, hold on there, missy. I've been serving as ROFFP for many years now
(self appointed and serving) and will be *damned* if I'll let some
pimply-faced librarian wedge his way in. Maybe when my term as Master Of All
The Universe And Beyond expires, I might think of slowing down a bit and
taking on an apprentice, but not until at least 2036.

Well, I think when it's his only response to a post that it's a tad
repetitive, but I've sometimes been counted as loyal retinue.

Ah! Going to teach her a lesson in civility and adult behavior, eh? It
isn't going to work, you know. I mean, it isn't that she's a slow
learner.....we both know that....right? It's just that Cyli has amply
demonstrated that she already knows a great deal more about such matters
than most people here. There's nothing left for you to teach her.....and we
ALL know that.

The trouble here isn't so much that you've misidentified the problem as it
is that you continue to mislabel it in the obviously vain hope that someone
will be fooled. The problem is that you have some pretty serious anger
management issues, a low level of self-esteem, the impulse control of an
over-indulged five year old, an insatiable (because rarely fed) need to
impress people as a substitute for simple acceptance, and a fundamental
disregard for the simple truth. In short, you are simply a very unpleasant
person. Of course, there are folks who will refuse to accept that all of
this is true simply because I say so, and dicklet can gibber all he likes
about diagnosis from afar, but what's important for you to remember is that
you and I both know that YOU have known all of this since long before you
ever came to ROFF.

We needn't go into this (admittedly truncated) list in great detail here,
largely because you've proved over and over and over again that it wouldn't
do any good anyway, but let us, just by way of example, touch very briefly
on the last item. You've stated, explicitly, at least once that you NEVER
read anything I write here. When I first pointed out to you that your
responses to me are remarkable in that they appear to have something to do
with what I've said......a truly astonishing feat considering that you
couldn't possibly have any idea of the content of things you don't
read....you temporized, and that, as we both know, is putting it very
mildly. The bottom line is that you STILL read every word I
write....voraciously.....furiously. You pore over all of it at great length
and in minute detail, hoping against hope that you will at last be able to
find some chink into which to insert yet another self-defeating snotty ten
year old excuse for a jab, and knowing that the result will inevitably be
what it ALWAYS is. You KNOW that simply admitting the truth would be a tiny
step on the path to mental health, but that is precisely the catch; the
pathology won't allow it.

And so we will continue to go on as before. You will huff and puff and
deliver threats of physical violence and invite others to join in avenging
you via the intervention of outside agents (like people's employers, for
instance) and generally behave like a poorly trained child......and I will
continue to make note of occurrences as they arise.

You COULD break the cycle......you could behave like an adult. You could.

Wolfgang

Claspy, are you gonna just sit there and let him talk about you
like that?

Nah, infants are cute and generally have an innate capacity to make people
adore them. This is why their mothers don't generally drown or strangle
them at or near birth.

Too bad for ROFF that your mom and dad didn't follow the Spartan custom.
