Found Anything??

That's why I started this tread, though surly someone had found some of the
crap I've lost.
Mostly I decorate the trees with flys, calculated losses.
So far I have not had anyone break into my car but it is happening more and
more. I have an extended cab pickup and it's hard to lock things up in it.
I am going to get a big lockable metal tool box to go in the bed. I am
working on a quick bolt in -out system for it. Got any suggestions?
I also have stuff that is "lost" around the house. I have some double eyed
parachute hooks within 20 yars of me and I have been looking for them for a
couple of months..

How about the converse ? What's the best or strangest thing
you*lost* while fishing ? My candidates:

1. A very, very nice spinning gear combo: went over the
side of my boat while floating down the Niagara River
2. A fly box stuffed with about 40 streamers: lost on
the shore of the lower Genessee in Rochester, NY
3. A brand bew reel spool filled with backing and a
brand new Teeny line: in the parking lot at Nauset
Beach, Cape Cod
4. Another spinning rod, taken from my very obviously
unlocked car (it had those big lock buttons that stood
way up), about 200 yards from #1.

Quite a story, but how'd the wallet end up upstream?

Now you're talking in my specialty! I've lost so much stuff I now keep
everything in my vest tied in in. I once lost the pair of pants I was
wearing when I left the house.

Boy, I'd love to have been a fly (perferably blind) on the wall when you
explained that to your young lady.

So you can spell. Your surely won't get the surly title in this
group. You're like a kid riding a three wheeler in the Tour de
France.

"wading upstream" was not intended to indicate that he was wading
upstream of
where i lost my wallet. it just describes a method of fishing. i don't
know how far it was
from the point that the wallet left my pants to the location where he found
it, days after
i lost it.

At least the wallet wasn't in your pants when you lost them. That
happened to a roomate of mine in college. Really turned into quite the
problem.
