Best wishes for Bob's quick recovery.

Jim Winn updated me yesterday. At one point after admission, Bob's diastolic
(the bottom number in the blood pressure reading) dropped to 28. He sounded
better last evening, but still looked as pale as the hospital bed sheets.
Doc are attempting to stabilize him, and they're hoping he has a stomach
infection so they'll have something they can address, but its too early to
tell.

Got a call this afternoon from Jim Winn, Bob Rickard's good buddy in St.
Louis. Bob has been in constant, debilitating pain for at least a couple
weeks and got to the point where he was unable to get any rest. Completely
exhausted and dumping fluids rapidly, he realized he was in real danger,

but
obstinate as always he drove himself to the hospital rather than call an
ambulance. Bob was admitted immediately to the emergency room, and from
there was moved to the critical care ward where he is now. BP was about
70/40, he was dehydrated and close to getting his ticket punched. So... if
you're inclined, I know Bob would appreciate your prayers on his behalf.

Thanks.

He's got them Joe, keep us informed.

Bob has just been moved up to the third floor, so evidently the doctors made
some progress in stabilizing him. They will now be concentrating on getting
his electrolytes back to normal.

See... prayer works! Keep 'em coming.
