Becky is planning to attend a high school reunion on the 9th. Looks
like we will probably leave Milwaukee some time on the 10th, thus
putting us at clave central (such as it is) late on the 10th or early

gonna be staying at the fontana village campground. i think that's a good
location in respect to our planned activities?

are you camping over there? is anyone else you know staying over there?
it will be convenient only for a boat ride from the fontana dock over to
hazel creek. otherwise, you will be a distance from snowbird and
santeetlah and nantahala (about 30 minutes or more), and away from most
folks. its not a drive i'd want to make after the typical evening
camaraderie or on a regular basis given the streams we'll probably focus
on. it appears we are going to have staggered appearances over the
2-week period, so it's hard to tell who will be around right now.

If you are camping, and don't want primitive camping, i'd suggest the
campgrounds over around joyce kilmer as a better and closer alternative.
if you are simply motel-ing, the metropolis of robbinsville would
probably be a better spot to stay. fontana village has little cabins
(dam workers old residences), a motel, and some camping - a bit too
"touristy" for my tastes. i think its also a bit crowded at times, esp.
with yawing children.

anyway, let me know if i can help. as i said, mark, wayno, and walt
might also have some suggestions.

his return from a federal court trial over in greeneville,
tenn...whenever that might be...but i suspect that means around the 9th
or during the first week. we'll also work out evening details for
whoever happens to be in the area during wayno's appearance (you will be

those interested (and willing to shed a few bucks), rachel and i like to
eat at least one fancy meal up at the snowbird lodge and it would be a
good place for one evening's gathering.

btw, it looks like graham county may have been spared the terrible
flooding damage suffered by most of the other mountain counties... hope
the wiley trouts made it through safely as well.

i checked the state storm report for graham county. only report i could
find involved one tree down at the fontana tourist grounds. rainfall
report showed less than 1/2 inch rain in the last 18 hours. current
weather is sunshine. news stations indicate major problems with floods
were east of graham and to the west, a bad washout of several miles of
i-40 near knoxville. i've sent e-mails to some of my friends in graham
co., but haven't heard from them yet. also, haven't heard from wally...

12th thru 15th will coincide with s-fiddler, wolf & becky, and patton.
have you heard anything from zimbo? btw, there's another place for rent
right on big snowbird about a half-mile after the turn onto the creek
road - 3 bedrooms. looks ok. the folks who own the blue boar offer it
for rent. it's also for sale (200k +). it would be a good spot for your
crowd... or, if jim/jennie decided to come up. 750 a week i think.

i checked the state storm report for graham county. only report i could
find involved one tree down at the fontana tourist grounds. rainfall
report showed less than 1/2 inch rain in the last 18 hours. current
weather is sunshine. news stations indicate major problems with floods
were east of graham and to the west, a bad washout of several miles of
i-40 near knoxville. i've sent e-mails to some of my friends in graham
co., but haven't heard from them yet. also, haven't heard from wally...

750 a week i think.

has anyone figured out the overlaps yet? anyway, looks like patton,
wolfgang and becky & s-fiddler, will be around at least one night in
common.

how about we gather at my place that evening and share a
meal... i think it'll be the 14th?

i'm plannin' on gettin' in on the 14th, and staying until the 16th- so
that sounds good time to me- count me in for dinner with ya'll

wayno says he'll be stopping by on
his return from a federal court trial over in greeneville,
tenn...whenever that might be...but i suspect that means around the 9th
or during the first week. we'll also work out evening details for
whoever happens to be in the area during wayno's appearance (you will be
bringing the upside-down, left-handed guitar won't you wayno). for
those interested (and willing to shed a few bucks), rachel and i like to
eat at least one fancy meal up at the snowbird lodge and it would be a
good place for one evening's gathering.

yep, i'll be bringing the little 00028; but i honestly don't know if

it
will be over the 9th or later. we start on tues, the 4th, and if we don't
finish by friday, i will have to go back to gso and prepare for arguments

on
dismissal and/or closing. in that event, i will drop by around mid-week;
the 12th-14th, probably.

hope to see ya there, uncle wayno-it'd be good to fish with ya- and hear
that wonderful 00028. maybe you could entertain us with a bit of southern
cross, and suzanne? unkown legend would be nice, too..........
