I hereby decree that the excellent people who have given reports that they have visited Fawn Lake and even fished it and photographed big brookies caught in it are all being truthful. Yeah, if all I had to go on were the reports posted here I'd probably lean the same way. But then Warren is the guy who said, "Hand me my beer", and then took a digital photo of me "drinking" a friggin' Moose Drool or some other western swill. He is *not* to be trusted. oh brother...just when i thought you couldn't get any more pathetic. Now, um, what are the flaws/lack of integrity you think exist with regard to Chas, Choc, and John Hightower? ...oh, and while you're at it, tell us why Craig Matthews is a liar and untrustworthy too. In summary: You and your corroborative witnesses are constrained by certain facts, such as having been there, having fished successfully, being in possession of photographic evidence and eyewitness testimony, having found and produced documents pertaining to Fawn Lake published by the National Park Service, having found and produced maps, air photos, satellite photos, GPS coordinates and sundry other documentary evidence. Kennie has never been there. He has no physical evidence to present. He has no testimony from anyone else to back his assertion. In other words, he has NO facts at his disposal. Far from being a handicap, this means that, unlike you, he is not constrained by facts. You ain't got a chance. :) Wolfgang |

hey...i actually like fawn lake and the hike. i can catch brookies in the gardner and fawn creek without any crowds and by hiking less distance than to middle falls on snowbird (of course forty probably thinks i doctored the middle falls pictures too). I'd venture a guess he doesn't think anything of the kind. the scenery is great. we came upon a huge number of shed elk antlers this year...i'll post pictures this evening. i'll be happy to show fawn lake to any number of people that want to tag along next year, including anyone whose word yellowstone kenny will accept as truthful. to be sure there is one among y'all that is near and dear enough to fortenberry to be believed by him. hell, after wayne knight pays me my 10 grand wayno, i'll arrange a special photo session for you (the horse ride will be sporting). One of these years I'll take you up on that offer, but I refuse to witness. What fun would *that* be? -- TL, Tim ------------------------- http://css.sbcma.com/timj |

"Ken Fortenberry" Oh hell, fishing regs don't prove a damn thing. If there was a puddle on the sidewalk that might possibly contain a tadpole during a monsoon the Park Service would have a special fishing reg. -- Ken Fortenberry funny you should mention tadpoles Ken, there were a bunch of the little critters in the lake we were at and in the outflow stream. whole bunch of small toads too. hmm jh |

If the GPS unit isn't doctored and the negative of the photo is unretouched that should prove that the photo of both the readout on the GPS unit and the so-called Fawn Lake are where he says it is. Naturally, I'd want to inspect both the GPS unit and the negative. well, there were 3 GPS units there. ... You don't understand. Anybody can walk up to a bed of unfishable weeds, record the coordinates and then post digital photos of someplace else. Better luck next year. so...finally...you're actually calling chas, john hightower, charlie choc, me, warren, and joe liars, cheats, conspirators...and, in addition, abandoning your former lame claim of "doctored" photos in favor of a new claim that the photos are of a different lake. truly, truly, pathetic. |

I'm sorry I left before that walk in. That Brookie Warren caught was bigger than any I've ever caught. I would I loved a chance at such a big Brookie. Anyone else catch any? Did you see other fish? that brookie was the smaller of the two he was fishing for...the other
one was easily over 24"...it looked like a log next to this one. it's warren's story, and i expect he'll tell it soon, but i didn't carry my rod or fishing gear along on this adventure...it was a nice hike, great scenery, and i fished a bit on the gardner with warren's rod on the way in. I wanted to be able to document the catch. they didn't fish for very long and it was the worst time of day. i'd like to be there in the evening and night. Still, there were lots of rising fish...but the lake water was a bit warm at its surface areas...65 i think. several fish tormented Chas at a different section of the lake, but all of the action was over on our side where some cooler waters flowed into the lake. i saw two big brook trout leap all the way out of the water chasing something, and it wasn't the damsel flies. i'm still way down on the lake fishing learning curve, but it was among the finest days i've spent on a fishing trip for a variety of reasons. the elk sheds were a bonus... jeff Willi wrote: jeff wrote: so...finally...you're actually calling chas, john hightower, charlie choc, me, warren, and joe liars, cheats, conspirators...and, in addition, abandoning your former lame claim of "doctored" photos in favor of a new claim that the photos are of a different lake. truly, truly, pathetic.
