hell, no!

I'd offer that if the Dems thought they had a
decent script, they'd have happily struck up the band and began singing
"Springtime for Hussein" (with all the Dem Reps doing the can-can,
forming a big spinning Scud launcher). Unfortunately for them, the
script they have would make "Showgirls Go To Ishtar" (A Bialystock/Bloom
Production, Directed by Roger De Brise) look like "To Kill A
Mockingbird."

.....with Barney Frank cast in a lead role...ok,ok, this all may be a bit
over the top, but I see your point. I always found the idea of impeachment
sort of a method of last resort, for extreme disregard for the law to the
point of incapacitating the office and whole government. Thus, I railed
against wasting the time on the Clinton impeachment, and can't see any
reason to impeach Bush,
as the whole damned nation had a chance to send him packing, three-plus
years back, and chose not to. It hardly seems so dead-certain that Bush did
a damned thing that rises to impeachable, that we know of. Conversely, I
figure most Presidents do stuff that does rise to that standard that most of
us never know a thing about.....but, that's the cynic in me.
Tom

Er, no. While Frank and I don't agree on a whole lot politically, I
have respect for him as one of the better members of Congress (and yeah,
I know he's had his share of, er, missteps...) insofar as wanting to "do
the right thing." IOW, I'd suspect Frank wouldn't be among those
setting up the stage...well, unless there were some real showtunes
involved...

It would depend on what you mean by things "most of us never know
about"...US Presidents are _expected_ to do certain things sub rosa or
secretly, but a lack of "openness" in and of itself is not material to
impeachment. And the "public perception" of the "big picture" is
likewise not material - for example, taking the US to war, under most
circumstances (and in which "public opinion" is meaningless), is almost
certainly an unimpeachable act - even a protected act, while caught
lying to a grand jury could be a slam-dunk, impeachment-wise...

Thanks!

I don't know what it is, but EVERYONE at work seems to have taken an
attitude of late? I sure hope they get better soon, as I don't know if I can
continue my patient, kind, and caring ways much longer.

Been fishin' a quite a bit since classes ended in April. Uncle Wally, Bear,
and I will hit a local stream on Sat. or Sun. I have convinced a co-worker
to take up fly fishin' and he and I have been out workin' on his castin'
and line control the last few weekends. Unfortunately he seems to have lost
his hearing, which makes instructing him especially difficult. I had to yell
at him a great deal this past Saturday? I sure hope he regains his hearing
soon, I don't know how long I will be able to maintain my voice.
