(CNN) -- The homeless Florida woman who made a tearful plea for help
from President Obama earlier this year is still jobless and might be
homeless again.

President Obama greets Henrietta Hughes during a town hall meeting in
Fort Myers, Florida, on February 10.
Henrietta Hughes caught the nation's attention in February when she
asked for help during one of Obama's town hall meetings.

After her plea, Hughes was given a free home to live in temporarily.
But she is still struggling
to find a job and might soon lose that home, CNN television affiliate
WINK reported Thursday.

Hughes, who is in her 60s, goes to an employment center in Fort Myers
in hopes of finding a job.

"It's almost our second home," Hughes told WINK.

She and her son have taken a computer class at the center to help land
work. Hughes said she
has applied for as many jobs as possible but has struck out. Her son
has had no luck either.

Homeless woman hailed as face of economic crisis
Acts of kindness will help crisis, rescuer says
Now Hughes says time is running out. The home she lives in was donated
by the wife of a Florida
lawmaker. Once the house sells, Hughes will have to leave

dumb ass POTUS

Mark down the date. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, is the moment that any
chance
of a new era of bipartisan respect in Washington ended. By inviting
the prosecution
of Bush officials for their antiterror legal advice, President Obama
has injected a
poison into our politics that he and the country will live to regret.

"Take it from me," the snake said, "the animals in this forest are so
stupid that they'd rather destroy themselves than think they're not
'good.' Just leave it to me. By the time I'm finished with them,
they'll be too embarrassed to raise their voices even if they're
losing
their forest and starving to death."

THE POLITY OF BEASTS

Completely politically incorrect---and completely true.

daves s's pin up president ha, ha, ha...whata joke.....

(CNN) – A magazine is taking heat for making undisclosed alterations
of a
photograph of President Obama in a bathing suit.

Washingtonian Magazine changed the color of the president's shorts
and
made a few other touch-ups, but media critic Howard Kurtz calls the
small
adjustments "unethical."

"While the alternations of this picture might seem to some people to
be
kind of minor, it is absolutely unethical," he said. "It is dishonest.
It is not
journalism. You cannot present a news photo, particularly of a
president, but
of anybody, and alter it through digital technology without being
honest about it with readers."

Cathy Merrill Williams, the publisher of Washingtonian, disagreed,
saying
the publication was merely trying to convey a concept.

"When you're in the magazine business you're trying to get across a
concept
or an idea," she said. "Changing…the color of his shorts didn't change
the
overall image portrayed. It was President Obama in a bathing suit
walking."

The White House is officially not commenting on the altered photo.

potus - the empty suit........what's he hiding & why?

It happens every time a president leaves town to make an Earth Day
speech. Reporters scramble to point out how much fuel was expended so
the President could talk about conserving energy and using alternative
fuels.

In flying to and from Iowa today, President Obama took two flights on
Air Force One and four on Marine One.

The press office at Andrews AFB wouldn’t give me the fuel consumption
numbers for the 747 that serves as Air Force One without the approval
of the White House Press Office, which as I write this has yet to be
given.

But Boeing says its 747 burns about 5 gallons of fuel per mile. It’s
895 miles from Washington to Des Moines, so a round trip brings the
fuel consumption for the fixed-wing portion of the President’s trip to
8,950 gallons.

(AP )The trip also put President Obama on Marine One for round-trip
flights between the White House and Andrews AFB and between Des Moines
International Airport and Newton, Iowa, site of his Earth Day speech.
It totaled about an hour of flight time. The VH-3D that serves as
Marine One consumes about 1200 pounds of fuel per hour which comes out
to about 166 gallons consumed flying the President today.

Not included in these calculations are the presidential vehicles that
took him the short distance from the landing zone in Newton to the
event site at the Trinity Structural Towers Manufacturing Plant.

In his speech there, President Obama called for a “new era of energy
exploration in America.”

At a plant that manufactures the towers for wind turbines, he urged
Americans to support his plan for promoting expanded use of
alternative and renewable fuels.

And he announced that for the first time, the Interior Department
would be leasing federal waters for projects to generate electricity
from wind and ocean currents.

President Obama could have saved at least 9,116 gallons of fuel by
giving his speech at the White House – but no wind turbines are
manufactured here.
