There's *nothing* in flyfishing like the sweet purr of a Hardy. I have an
LRH; a JLH; and my newest...a Bougle. The Bougle was purring on big

Missouri

River Bows...gotta love those reels. The Abels stayed in the van most of
that trip.

There's actually been people who have posted here complaining about the
"noise" Hardy and other similar reels make. Poor misquided souls.

I don't like noisy click and pawl reels.

Love those Bougle's and JLH's. There's a new grass stick in my future and I
think I'm going to put one of the Angel's on it.

I don't like bamboo rods, either.

he and I agreed that we MUST do an expedition to the L.P.
holy waters next year......in addition to the planned U.P. clave.

He
voted
for the hex hatch. I'm game......but the dates must be fixed far

in
advance.....too many trips have failed to materialize for want of

being
fixed and on the calendar.

What started as a clave of folks from the old compuserve fly fishing

program
has turned into an annual get together the 4th week of June. In the

10 years
I have been going there we've hit the hex about half the time, two

years
(1996 and 2004) there was not crap happening except for a lot of

drinking
and BSing while the other three were solid into the brown drakes.

Barring some event which means I 'm no longer amongst the living, I

will be
in Grayling from June 22nd through June 26th, with one of the

weekdays
tentative for a visit to a certain dead lawyers' shack and pond. I

can't
promise you the hex but I think you will like most of the company.

We're in the process of changing the focus of our little event from

a fund
raiser back to a fishing trip if you would like.

If you're that dead set on getting the hex tho, I would suggest

sometime
right after the 4th of July.

Those dates far enough in advance for you?

22nd-26th of June will do nicely. It's on the calendar. :)

Wayne;

On the Missouri I was playing a hot Bow when two sports came by in a
drift-boat; and one said to the Guide "What a *loud* reel that guy has". (I
was using the Bougle at the time). The Guide smiled; and said "He's playing
a trout, that reel sounds fine to me".

I really wanted to reply to the guy...but had my hands full at the moment.
Those new Angels look great to me...I see one in my future also

Wayne, I've got a Bougle with less than 10 hours fishing on it and I don't
care for the style, design, functionality OR the clatter. If you're
interested in a possible sale/swap, drop me an email.
