I can see that! Or maybe "Gumby theatre"? Open the door and come in!
Mr. Al Gumby? .... SORREEEE!

Now you guys have drawn me into this damn thread. He reminds me of
the mentally defective character (John Cleese?) that wore the white
kerchief over his head in Monty Pythons Flying Circus television
shows!

Being a gay he should be used to rod snapping ; )

I'm very surprised that your young, gay, friends would suggest that.

Snapping a
rod is rarely a manufacturing defect. It's most often due to misuse.

I happened to snap a rod the other night while fishing with some other

lads.
The cello was still on the handle and advice given from the lads was to

return
it. It is not rocket science to see the advantage of the cello.

Yes. It makes the nice, comfortable cork handle feel like a piece of
cheap plastic. It makes it slippery when wet, too. Advantages beyond the
grasp of rocket scientists the world over.

In my case the rod is a two piece spinning rod and the top half of the rod
snapped while fishing. Would the manufacturer generally only replace the top
half or would the whole rod be replaced. The retailer always effectively
replaces the entire snapped rod.
Secondly is a mail tube best for mailing it back to the manufacturer. I will
also be sure to including a sob story letter with the snapped rod.
