Well let's see...

I was runnin' low on gas, so I took it down to the station that was about 3
or 4 miles from the er resort. I gassed her up, paid the guy and tried to
get back to Hurricane, but it wouldn't start. Dead starter...

I called Vern's drunk ass and he and I attempted to push it away from the
pumps. In doing so, the drivers door caught on a post almost ripping it off
the hinges. I drove Vern back to his mansion on the hill and headed back to
Hurricane. I told Sean and Jerry my problem since I was driving Verns truck,
and I had to pick up Vern at 5:00 the next morning. They decided that they
would follow me back over to Verns and we'd just drop off the truck and he
could get there if he was sober enough the next morning.

If I remember correctly... we're you there when we took his truck back? If
not... you'll love the rest of the story.

Anyway, the next night, Jerry drove me into town to pick up a new starter.
The door wasn't as bad as I thought, but did have it repaired after
returning home.

I traded that thing in about three months ago for the F-150 so I could get
myself and two of my kids in it every morning on their way to school. That
was a good ole truck, and was still running strong when I traded it. Only
problem was, it didn't like pulling the boat in its' old age. Good thing I
only live about 5 miles from the ramp!

At one time I owned 6 Ford F-150's,they pulled landscape trailers and
equipment fine for the first 75-80,000 miles, then went belly up and I had a
mechanic on staff for maintenance.I replaced them with GMC trucks with the
Vortec and man what a difference.
All my Fords were '96 models but I hear the newer ones are a lot better.I
sure like the way they look.

I dunno Warren, I own three Chevy trucks for my business. They are good
trucks, but the main reason I went with Chevy trucks had nothing to do with
quality or features. I have owned an F-250 and an F-150 in the past. They
were great trucks too. I currently still have a 1965 F-250 as a yard truck.
It sits for long periods, and always starts up when we need to move
equipmebt around in the yard.

The main reason I went with Chevy was because of front end help on sales. I
walked in and said, "I need a truck for my business." The first one I had a
good deal on and drove it off the lot before they even had the paperwork
ready. The next two trucks were the same way. Although my family owns a
lot of GM stock, and my father in law is a retired GM principal exec, I
would buy a Ford ina minute if I had gotten the same quality no nonsense
service and a good price on the truck. It was the sales people and the
commercial sales manager that made the difference for me.

Ford F-150

I sell basically all the real contenders, Ford, GMC, Chevy, Dodge, and the
Nissan Titan. In fact I get to drive all of them all the time. Tonight I
drove home a 04 F-150 4x4. I like them all, and each has their own special
characteristics. Take the F-150. Great truck! Nice accelleration, good
ground clearance, very tight steering, nice layout. It's flaws in my
opinion, the suspension is just a little too stiff for me as well are the
seats. I wouldn't want to take a long trip in one, yet that stiffness is
exactly what some people want. The back seat is also a little too upright
making it uncomfortable.

The Dodge Ram, without a doubt, the fastest in all the groups (1/2, 3/4, 1
ton) regardless of what the 0-60 specs tell you. Again, nice interior
layout and roomy. Its flaws to me are the seats are too soft and suspension
super stiff. Yet, a lot of people love their Dodge just for those reasons.

GMC/Chey, I really, really like them because they have a very nice/smooth
power band and the seats are comfortable to me. The back seat is also
roomier and more comfortable than the Ford and Dodge. Its flaw is its
steering is a little loose in comparison to the others.

But my overall favorite would be the Nissan Titan. Call it a perfect blend,
and a heck of a lot more smoother and quieter. It has all the best of Ford,
GM and Dodge, and it looks good too! My only complaint is that I don't get
as many in stock as I wish I could have. When I get them in they hit the
ground and they are all gone in a couple days and I'm not at a Nissan
Dealership.
