If those of us who are having an attack of terminal shyness could just
walk in and say, "Hi, I'm so shy I'd like to fade into the woodwork,
but I really do want to be here." it'd be so much better. But we
can't.

not true, lady. you could say exactly that at any gathering of
roffians in the old north state, anytime, anywhere, and be ...taken in...

I'll vouch for that.

Wolfgang
who has been taken in by north carolinians any number of times.
um.......hm...... :(

FWIW, I agree with you. It is one, but not the major reason I've decided

Larry, don't listen to Ken. It's not true.

What's not true ?

I said non-drinkers were cool but that anti-drinkers would be
a wet blanket and a royal pain in the arse. That may not be
true for you, but it's sure as hell true for me.

Maybe my idea of a new career as humorist isn't that good, after all :-(

I'll be at the clave, staying at the Slide Inn. Not the most socially
comfortable of fellows, especially when it comes to being the new guy in a
group that all know each other already, I can sympathize with your
hesitation. Hope you drop in.....

JR
Indian Joe offers---I'll be sitting on the back porch two doors down,
sipping a diet root beer, between fishing efforts, so both of you come on
down and meet one of the tall , athletic western clave guys--maybe I can
line you up to get some autographs from some of the other famous guys. Why
Willie might come on down and use your shower if you offer him a clean
towel. Jeff Miller will be putting on a casting exhibition in the creek
just behind our cabins, we might even see the clave master at breakfast if
he and the rest of the guys can get up after their all night drunk.

Jeepers. Larry, you didn't take much time looking at the pictures of
ROFFians on Willi's web site that he posted the other day did you?

It'll be nice to meet you JR. We will find you don't worry. Staying
at the Slide Inn also grants you access to the Madison River Kiddie
Hole, which has a few nice fish in it. It's looking like the Slide Inn
and the Cabin Creek campground will be the two major meeting places -
Slide Inn in the morning and the campground at night.

I will lose my obsession with that Slide Inn side channel when I get
the chance to fish there for a couple of hours someday ; -)

That was one of the attractions. I've fished MT before and I remember all
the driving involved. Will be nice, if I feel lazy one day (or two....
g), just to drink coffee, amble down and fish, drink coffee, amble down
and fish, drink beer, able down and fish......

Sounds like something approaching a plan. See you there.
