Yeah, that's hilarious. I hiked down to look at Fawn Weedbed

It's been mildly interesting to see your story morph, but only barely. I don't
for a minute believe you were ever there, and your descriptions of what you
'saw' just prove it.

You can believe whatever you want to believe. I know where
I was, *EXACTLY* where I was, and I know what I saw with my
own two eyes. The only "morphing" is of your own invention.

I'd hike a couple hours to catch fish like that.

No hiking involved, Kevin. Try fishing the Rapid River in Maine the
first week in June. d;o)

I was just thinking, I never said I saw anything from the
trail. I really don't remember whether I did or not, but
you, on the other hand, claim to have come up the trail
from the Mammoth side but saw the lake from the trail on
the Fawn Pass side. And you say *I* was lost ?

Uh huh.

If you were passing by on the trail and saw it it does mean you weren't there
(the lake isn't visible from the trail until you are well past it up into Fawn
Pass).

I was coming from Fawn Pass and headed toward beer after a
week in the backcountry. I was in a hurry, but I wasn't blind.

I didn't saw we saw the lake from the trail, I just said the lake isn't visible
from the trail until you are well up into Fawn Pass. A couple and their boy
hiking down from the pass told us that. We went south of the trail after we
crossed the Gardner and Fawn Creek and went past the weed bed left by the old
beaver pond - which is probably what you saw, if anything, while you were lost.

Uh huh.

Yep. BTW, you don't hike down to the lake from the trail as you claimed, you
hike up over a hill ("you" not meaning you personally, of course, since 'you'
obviously weren't at Fawn Lake).

I didn't either, just that I was coming from the opposite
direction from what you assumed.

Oh bull**** yourself, I didn't say I saw a lake from the
trail. I meant that I took a hurried look and I saw weeds
not that I saw something from the trail. If it's visible
from Fawn Pass I may have seen it from the trail but I
don't remember one way or the other.
