I just got a go-ahead from the spousal unit. Now I wonder if Cabelas
sells grizzly-proof titanium tents.

Hey, if I want to fish for brookies and big ones at that, I can go to
Hawaii. Was watching the movie "10.5 Apocalypse" last night. When the
big tidal wave is getting ready to hit Hawaii, the tide goes way out
leaving fish stranded and flopping around. I played it over a couple
of times with the Tivo just to make sure my eyes weren't decieving me.
The fish were rainbows, browns and brookies.
Don't know if I want to hike for little brookies. Will see what the
week brings. Will have to leave by about midday on Saturday to make it
back to Omaha. If were still in the middle of the salmonfly hatch, I
ain't going nowhere but the Madison.

Its not the rocks on the Madison I have problems with, its the hole in
the top of my waders.

Last year I had a pair of inexpensive aqua stealth with no studs boots
for the boat. They were ridiculous on the Madison. I should have
known because it's tough enough there with the swift water and round
rocks. Now I have a big piece of carpet for the bottom of my raft, a
trick I got from Warren.

The Madison is like golf for me. 90% of the time I feel like an idiot.
Except last year the numbers were reversed for a few days and that's
never happened to me on a golf course. (G) bruce h

Well, tonight they're going to make an inland sea from the Gulf of
Mexico up to South Dakota. Hey, I'll be able to fish for bones and
redfish in Nebraska. Cool. Then again, this morning I 'bout broke my
arm putting on deodorant (raised the arm under the open cabinet door,
nice lump and even bigger bruise), so the concept of a 10.5 here in
Nebraska is not all the far fetched.

I'm still fence sitting. I have the time free and will be in the
states, but it doesn't look like there are any frequent flier tickets
available during that week...the best I could find was Thursday to
Thursday, which would probably leave me all by my lonesome out there
for a few days.

I'd say I'm right at 50-50, until school lets out and I can remember
what it feels like to not be standing behind a 4-foot tall stack of
grading.
