Dang, there went another irony meter. :(

Always an interesting statement -- "I know." We presume that "I know"
is based on a logically derived set of facts but all it ever amounts
to is a construct with which we have comfort in its certainty.

So he can "know" where your mind roams without having a ****ing clue
where it's actually been. And there is always the possibiility that
he is right -- that's the bitch of it . . . .

So one man's certainty is another man's lack of a ****ing clue . . . )

Where would ROFF be without it . . .

Dontcha just love this place . . . . :)

BTW, it's probably too late for this year but shouldn't we do a
Porkies trip again, before John gets too old and infirm to lug the
grub?

Agreed, endlessly fascinating.

What you mean "we", white man? Actually, there was little doubt about what
the boy meant.......he ain't that deep.

So he can "know" where your mind roams without having a ****ing clue
where it's actually been.

Well, that's a bit of a leap of faith. Ste's mind....if we are to give
credence to the ample evidence....dwells in a soiled place that I have, by
virtue of occupational vagaries, had occasion to visit but aside from that
it's pretty obvious that he hasn't recognized any of the plentiful clues
he's tripped over. So, no, he can't know.

And there is always the possibiility that
he is right -- that's the bitch of it . . . .

Not a chance in hell.

More than mere words (the right ones....or otherwise) can express.
:)

Certainly too late for the ephemeral steelhead, but I'm not all that sure
I'd want to do that particular thing again anyway. I'm thinking a fall
trip.....catch the colors and some stream residents. Mid to late September
is a beautiful time along the south shore......fat brookies in breeding
plumage.....clubbing salmon.....northern lights.....no bugs. Whattaya
think?

Wolfgang
who can probably arrange accommodations for eight or ten.

i didn't snip any of these posts for the very important reason that i
think the observation of the mutation of each post, one after the other,
defines roff.; or, more accurately, the best that roff can be.

I'm likely to be screwed out of any fall fishing trips as at work,
we're converting to AD, Server 2003. Exchange 2003. By September
we'll be in the thick of it.

Rats. Wading Lake Superior without the bulwark that is Petah is possible, I
suppose, but not an experience to be savored......except, perhaps, in
retrospect as a daring, if somewhat foolhardy, exercise in bravado.

Any chance you could get away.....oh, say, NOW? :)

Wolfgang

These days I'm more bulk than bulwark.

Get away now? Don't I wish . . . I'm even working tomorrow. :(
