O.k., so, I read this about 24 hours ago. "What", thinks I, "another Nascar
driver or "country music" boy has bit the big one? So?".

So......we're on the way to Burlington this morning to talk to Becky's mom
about a screened porch she might want us to build. We stop at a convenience
store so Becky can get a cup of coffee and the Sunday Journal/Sentinel.

"Well.....**** fahr", quoth she.

"What?" says I.

"Dead", she responds.

"Hm..........who?", I wonder aloud.

"Reagan"

"Which one?"

"Ronbo".

"Ah!" thinks I......maybe that's what Kennie had in mind. Current events
were never exactly his strong suit (safe guess, that......there IS no strong
suit).

O.k........so.......the man has been dead for about 32 years. And NOW it's
news? Goddamn, people, don't ya'll have ANYTHING to think about?

No doubt that he was divisive. The Haves and the Have-Nots. If you were one
of 'his', you loved him. If you weren't, you despised him. To me, that alone
was enough to discredit him from ever being a great president.

I'm sorry for Nancy and her grief, but I suspect that she was is oblivious
to any pain or grief his policies caused to countless Central Americans.
Sorry for ****ing on a dead man's slippers, but just because he is dead does
not forgive his policies or atrocities. This isn't pro ball or boxing where
you shake the hand of the competitor and go away to face next Sunday: this
was real-life and a lot of people suffered or died because of him. In fact,
more than ever, its time to NOT let the pro-Reagan camp whitewash history.
