to have been stunned. An incident like this requires a scrapping of
the early light banter. The president should apologize for the tone of
his remarks, explain what has happened, express sympathy for those
slain and appeal for calm and patience until all the facts are in.

Fort Hood shooting suspect Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan sought to contact
people associated with al Qaida, according two American officials
familiar with the case. "It is not known whether the intelligence
agencies informed the Army that one of its officers was seeking to
connect with suspected al Qaeda figures, the officials said," ABC
writes.

My guess is PORK, America's other white meat. And the Tacoma assholes
who sold him the Bushmaster have yet to face real justice for that
sale and the hundreds of other sales for which the paperwork was
"confused."

They caught Seattle's latest cop killer last week, the same day as
Officer Timothy Brenton was buried with full honors. The killer
survived being shot in the capture after he pulled a gun on the
police. Washington State allows the death penalty for cop killers.
