What kind of tax break does the guy who has run the fly shop across the street for 30 years get? He'll have to compete with his son for a minimum-wage job at Walmart after Cabelas drives him out of business. BTW, it's an ironic fact that George W. Bush made his money due to a tax increase. He and his backers (Bush was only the political front man) arranged for a special election to raise the sales tax to finance a new stadium for the Texas Rangers. The county used eminent domain to buy private land at below-market prices, built the stadium, and then sold it to Bush and his buddies for much less than it was worth. So true and now he wants to keep permanent the tax cuts that give most to the people who make over $1million. Of course they pay more taxes at that bracket, they make more. But look at the percentage of their pay to taxes and you'll see they keep far more than the average american. |

I think that the queue on your stated opinion is somewhat shorter - I would at least hope so. And I am even dtill in the businbess world which is full of assholes But Again I have to refer to the " legally " elected government of the United States do you have any clue what these guys do in your name? - do you even care? - Me I am ****in outraged! Can you offer any defense of the administration or do you think that we are in Iraq fior Iraqi freedom or is it really money and oil and the rich getting richer and the Bush and Cheney's stuffing their pockets Do you give a rats ass about the Iraqis and even the Filipinos much less the American people Does it concern you? Does the deterioration of our environment and the threat to our common unterest on this list - fishing and clean places and healthy rivers and lakes and glaciers - does it bother you It drives me ****in nuts I have 2 grandchildren They deserve to have something left of this planet when they are as old as we are. Do you pass on all thisl w a sip of a good single malt - I do? I am sorry about the beer chasers Not single malts - foe me somtimes a club soda or mineral water chaser is perfect Do you fish and hang out in unpopulated places like the Rangely system of lakes to escape - I sure do? It seems that with the realty of wha'ts going on with and to this planet that any man w common sense would have to choose an alternate reality at times as an escape - why not or he would go mad! BTW Its funny to be called an asshole by a guy that posts vicious, bitter & sarcastic responses to another fisherman on this list who does the same and then others join in. Posts Full of vitriol and spittle and spite What the **** for?? Get angry at politicans who have sold off our planet' resources for a pocketful of $$ and promises You are probably a nice pirate. But you are a pirate badly real badly in need of a BIG spliff - all for yourself My 2 cents Fred |

The average fisherman will loose access to places they have hunted and fished for years. It doen't supprize me, *Cabelas are were big supporters of Cheny and the Bu****es and prbably their plan to privatize the national forest and othere public lands. Without comment, from that same article: "Last week, Cabela's Vice President Mike Callahan, a former Montanan, showed up at the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission meeting with a $50,000 check and a pledge for another $60,000 over five years to support the state's land-access programs. Callahan said the company will change how it markets Montana. Under new policies, Cabela's will not advertise the prospect of subdividing land in Montana and will avoid undermining existing Block Management contracts, he said. The sportsmen apparently were heard." Yep, loud and clear - they don't want anyone interfering with their taxpayer-funded hunting "rights"... IMO, screw 'em - if they want hunting rights on private lands, let them lease it and pay for it out of their own pockets. TC, R- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Dumbass. It's roads there closing. Roads that have been open for years that access public land. |

If no one is impeaching Bush/Cheney, I would guess that there is nothing to impeach them for. THAT is the message I was trying to give to Fred. Neither has lied under oath like Clinton, neither has obstructed justice like Clinton, so unless Fred and all the Dems in both Houses can find an impeachable offense, I guess they will NOT be like Clinton. Now, I am gonna vote for Hillary in the Mass primary, hoping she goes all the way. I think it would be great to have a mom and pop impeachment ceremony. The only TWO family impeachments in history. Ya gotta love it. And, it will happen. hth, counselor Dave |
