Actually, I think some prison deaths are very likely to be ruled
homicides

If that does indeed happen, and there are convictions (military is at
about the 90% rate on convictions for charges filed), I'll retract
that.

I'm not trying to start a mini-rumble here, but if it turns out that a
"contractor" was responsible, there won't be any military charges. I'm not
sure there is a mechanism to charge one of these contractors with any
criminal act.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, "homicide" have already been listed as the cause
of death on some detainees death certificates. At least 8 deaths are
currently believed to be homicides. This stuff is out there. Try

Note that all this goes on as the US continues to argue that the new World
Court system should have no jurisdiction over US soldiers because "We're
better". I believed that two years ago, and I believe it will be that way
again.

Well, in academia, its called "plagerism," in my world, its called
"fused intelligence." 'Sides, I just use quiet calm and reason in my
"arguments," its frustrating as hell.

Well, see, that's the thing. I've always been a real big fan of using
the right tool for the job. Unfortunately, the right tool isn't
always available and so one has to make do with what one has.

Look, it isn't as if I don't understand your plight or am
unsympathetic. But, we MUST root out terrorism.....whatever the cost.
So, I've been giving the matter a lot of thought lately and I think I
can see a way of solving this problem with a minimum of collateral
damage. You bring me LaCourse's head, and I promise that not only
will I leave you and the rest of the ex-military crowd
alone.......hell, I'll even buy you a new tent! Whattya say? What
could be more fair than that? Oh, I know.....if I pay you to bring me
Dave's head, it's just a matter of time till someone ELSE pays you for
mine. Well, that's a risk I'm willing to take......and besides, what
have you got to lose? I mean, it's not as if you couldn't use a spare
tent.......right?

Ya know I can't do that. Aside from the fact that I consider you both
friends, for the most part, I was a REMF and don't do that icky stuff.
'Sides, I still have my old "subdued" tent from years past. Think I'm
gonna give old Smokey a shot at it in a couple of weeks.

Frank, tell the gnome that smells like a NC ditch that he can come and get my
head if he dare. He had a chance at Penns this year, but instead shook my
hand. Some peace jesture, that. His usenet persona apparently is the same as
Fortenberry's - big talk, little action. Come to think of it, he's a pimple on
Fortenberry's ass, no wonder he's "brave".

If you're talking about the Budweiser donkey, he doesn't
have any pimples. ;-)

Well, I ain't gonna be the go between. "Homey don't play dat game"
(plagerized from somewhere). I'll fish with you both and offer up some
more tents to the bear gods. Now, driving with you is another matter
altogether.
By the way, I told Brenda that I would like to do the Rapid again next
year or the Western Clave. She asked if I had enough vacation to do
both. I affirmed that I did. "Well, why don't you do both?" Man, I
love that woman.

An enumeration of all the reasons that this is superbly comical would
take a long time, some of them are pretty obvious anyway, and it would
probably lose a good bit of its punch in a text based format.
However, if anyone is interested (and can take time out from kicking
my ass) when we next meet, remind me. :)

By the way, I hear that Dave has contracted some work with the "Boston
Bruins." Don't know, but I think that incident last month may have been
an attempted hit by the Motheatenoso.
