thanks wolfie-
when i saw you in robbinsville you said that i needed to fail a class just
once, and i would stop being so obsessed with my grades.

Well, obviously, it isn't essential to life......nor even necessarily to
future happiness.....but it DOES lend a bit of perspective. :)

well, i figured this math class would be that first failed class

Hah! You were WRONG!

and although i'm sure you were sincere in your advice,

Sincerity (as anyone who has read these pages for a while can attest) is my
strong suit.

i hope to graduate without a single F- there's still time though, i still
have 3 more semesters of spanish :-(

Spanish? No sweat. Just remember, "Donde esta casa el peepee?"

snake- (who just found out she passed the last ****ing math class she will
ever have to take!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

congrats -- there's one of those, "Thank God it's over!" course in
every program. . . . it's always great to have it behind you.

ya got that right! i had visions of never graduating because of math. now
i can be one of those students who says to others , "ya, i'm so glad i'm
finished with that ****!"
Thanks peter ;-)

Math wasn't my horror story - after signing up in '91 for a part-time
undergrad, I took two calculus courses just for ****s & giggles.
Nope, my horror story was History of Anthropolgy. Not only was it the
most boring course ever put on the face of this Earth, but it was also
taught by a prof who had had his personality surgically removed at
birth. Staying awake was the most challenging thing I've ever had to
do. Remembering his drivel at exam time was the second most
difficult. He didn't mark us on our knowledge of the history, he
marked us on what we remembered of his drivel. I've never been in a
course that was so bitched over as this one. You've never seen such a
relieved bunch of students as those who passed. Our only consolation
-- this prof was a stand-in, as the regular prof was worse!!!!!
