and lately what? I was just insulted because I asked questions.
I'm a very kind person and I don't give fool people in the usenet
too much weight, but if you insult me without provocation, I respond.

"Tit for tat," we call that in English. A policy which, for all it's
stunning simplicity (in concept as well as in execution), many here
find absolutely incomprehensible.

the best thing is I received a long email full of insults and threats
from another person :-))

still hopes to live long to enough to see a world in which adults
hold sway.

mostly men I hope!
I've a nice fish mate here, who was a 6years marine who listen Iron
Maiden and holds nice and aggressive tattoos, that when we went fishing
called every 5 minutes the wife begging her don't be angry with him
because he was fishing, and incredibly he stopped to fish to go to the
grocery store and buy milk for his children and a pizza for her, he
brought all those things home and he went back to fish with me.
what a gal.
I'm latin, I'm Italian, I've the guts and when a La Blonde insults me
with his pathetic irony, I respond.
and now I don't want to waste more time with crying babies, I wanna talk
about fishing.

Perhaps you're a real sweet guy in person but your
Usenet attitude leaves a lot to be desired. You want
to talk about fishing but you've insulted Bob La Londe
who is one of the most knowledgeable bass fishermen on
Usenet and one of the most likable and easy going guys
in two newsgroups. If you insist on insulting people
like Bob eventually you won't have anyone to talk fishing
with.

I'm in the same way a well known person on the Usenet and I've friends
in all Italy met in newsgroups who invited e invite me every year in
years for a week at home, we had great meetings with people and we
always had a great time together.
I don't care who La Blonde is if he started ironically insulting me,
it's not my fault.
when he will calm down and just write friendly of fishing I'll respond
frendly to him as I'm used to do with everyone.

Hey Wolfgang. You the same guy who ran your own small newserver a few
years ago?

Not that I recall.

Wolfgang
who supposes he would remember such an incarnation.

LOL, I suppose you probably would. That's a lot of work.

Ok, It was Wolf... something. If I recall he mostly only carried the
motorcycle groups, but you lose track of details over time. I was gonna ask
for some details on setup, but since I got the wrong guy...

I believe some of the other regulars here have been involved in such stuff.
Odds are that not all of the likely candidates are following this thread
closely. You might want to try starting a new thread with an appropriate
header.

Wolfgang
oh, and don't be surprised if it gets hijacked. :)

Yes, we know. You're a famous Usenet personality, a
superstar of Italian fishing and a confidant of world
champions, not to mention a latin, Italian man with
enough guts to insult Bob La Londe from your keyboard.
We know all this because you told us so.

Now what was it you wanted to know about fishing around
Chicago, and how likely is it that mere American mortals
are going to tell you ?

You see the problem. You bring nothing to our table but
ego, machismo and insults while at the same time demanding
that we help you learn to fly fish here.

Good luck with that.

Yeah, I suppose I should. I know if I hadn't gotten into a urinating
contest with one of the guys in this thread I'ld have given up on it a long
time ago myself. LOL. I blocked the poster that got mire ire up so
hopefully I'll return to my normal merely irritating self soon.

The usenet server thing is something I have on the back burner so I doubt
I'll actually do anything with it for now. I was more curious than anything
else. So probably no new thread.

Let it go Ken. He got his feelings hurt and will never back down from his
reflexive responses. I have already blocked the guys accounts from my
readers at home and at work. He can have the last word and I won't even see
it. You should do the same. Well unless you are having too much fun...
LOL.

Hey, anyone who can post to as many groups (8) and threads (24) in just
this one day deserves *some* kind of award. Give the guy a break - his
fingers must be tired. ;-)
