I have no idea who did it. What makes you think it was Stan or Daytripper? If you find out who it was, I'll send them flowers. I think you should have to pay for the vile pseudo-intellectual onanism you love to indulge in on ROFF. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

I mean, courage is no less admirable for being anonymous......right? If anyone deserves it, you do. Aw shucks, 't'weren't nuthin'. I have no idea who did it. What makes you think it was Stan or Daytripper? I'm not at all certain that I do, actually. That was Tim's suggestion. A bit of misdirection, I think.......his way of saying that he has no idea who did it. It DOES sort of make one wonder why he feels compelled to distance himself from what he considers to be a righteous action......but I really don't think we want to open up that whole psychological can of worms, eh? On the other hand, Tripper's well known Republican leanings are highly suggestive. Hm..... If you find out who it was, I'll send them flowers. Well, delivery should be cheap, anyway. Can't beat that with a stick. I think you should have to pay for the vile pseudo-intellectual onanism you love to indulge in on ROFF. Given the nature of the medium, I assume even you understand that you are using the term "onanism" metaphorically. Interesting choice. Do you know what the word means? Wolfgang who, left with but two choices, supposes he would rather pitch than catch......though it raises a bitch of a problem for someone who throws like a girl. |

Just so nobody takes *this* and runs wild, I think it really sucks that someone would email a complaint to someone's employer, especially when the "offence" is just because they don't like the person or what they write. I can see contacting an ISP *if* the recipient feels threatened by the "attacker", but other than that, it's Usenet, fer cryin' out load. On the other hand, Tripper's well known Republican leanings are highly suggestive. Now, see? You've crossed that line. But at least now I've got a second in the duel that will surely transpire. -- TL, Tim ------------------------ http://css.sbcma.com/timj/ |

A mile from shore a fishing boat chummed the water. and the word for Breakfast Flock flashed through the air, till a crowd of a thousand seagulls came to dodge and fight for bits of food. It was another busy day beginning.... Wolfgang bach rocks. |

The epigraph of my dissertation is from Moby Dick "The weaver-god, he weaves; and by that weaving is he deafened, that he hears no mortal voice; and by that humming, we, too, who look on the loom are deafened; and only when we escape it shall we hear the thousand voices that speak through it. For even so it is in all material factories. The spoken words that are inaudible among the flying spindles; those same words are plainly heard without the walls, bursting from the opened casements. Thereby have villainies been detected. Ah, mortal! then, be heedful; for so, in all this din of the great world's loom, thy subtlest thinkings may be overheard afar." -- Scott Reverse name to reply |
