In one interview I saw today with a very conservative Republican, and a big
McCain supporter he said (paraphrased ) "If you're not proud to be an
American today, there's something very wrong with you."

Excellent post!

Well, I wasn't proud to be an American today. Neither were about 6.4
billion other people. That's a lot of people with something very wrong
with them.

I am glad there is a new president of your country, though.

Yet, at present, 73% of the nation wholeheartedly support him. Less than 10%
have a strong negative view of him.
Gosh, he must be doing something right!! Go on hating,
you won't make any difference. Where's the 5 bucks you bet me going to??

Thanks for including the Bloomberg quote explaining the decline. The banks
are still in **** shape, thanks to years of reduced oversight and
deregulation, coupled with unreasonable levels of greed by incompetent money
managers. Now, what does this have to do with Obama?? Oh, yeah, I
remembered......absolutely nothing.
BTW, I just heard not one, not two, but three Fox News guys in one hour
express what a great day this is for our nation. Conservatives, Liberals,
Moderates, all feeling positive vibes and planning on working together to
right the ship of State. It is a truly inspiring moment. Too bad you cannot
see it for what it is. It must suck to be wallowing in hate.
