Oh please, not another rod loading thread complete with graphs and

charts and differential equations. Anything but that.

well, I was going to chart out and utilize simple calculus to determine size
of fish released from 20 feet away in running water. But, then, a news item
came up, so I'll save that for another time.

I have no quarrel with Wolfgang. At times I may be contentious or
belligerent with him, but this is roff. You give as you take.

btw, I know this prevailing wisdom, yet, you must admit,
I tend to get testy when the levels sink to juvenile. I guess that is just
my own personal shortcoming.

It already has. *Sycophant.

pretty sad, Wolfgang, pretty sad........

Help me out here.....who's sad, you or me? For what it's worth, I
don't FEEL sad.....but I'm certainly willing to entertain suggestions
to the contrary. On the other hand, if it's you that's sad, I can
sympathize, and perhaps help you find a solution.....probably not, but
I'm willing to try.

namecalling replaces discourse

Welcome to Usenet. And welcome to Earth, for that matter. If
discourse is what interests you, I wish you the best of luck.....and
suggest that you look carefully at your own contributions in this
exchange. There are lessons to be learned wherever one looks.....if
one looks.

and the concept of actual friendship with folks eludes you, apparently.

You think so? In fact, some of my best friends are folks. If you
wish, I can supply references. What say?.....shall we get serious
here?

Oh, and when I claim you act like a horses ass to Snedeker in another thread, I
suppose that indicates some sort of bizarre relationship to him, as well?

No, in fact, you don't suppose any such thing. Care to try to
rephrase what you are trying to say in a manner befitting an educated
adult?

Or, Calif Bill??

He's an idiot. Your relationship with him (her?....it?) is your
business. But given the result of going public with your bizarre
relationship with the diminutive member, I think it would be in your
best interest to keep the existence (let alone the nature) of any
other personal relationships with sick, stupid and evil denizens of
this place private. Your choice, though.

Get over your damned self.

Tried that. Boring.

misanthrope(and one with a highly misplaced superiority complex, at that)..

Live long enough and you'll get over it.....or not. Who cares?

well, as I stated, discourse in the thread had been replaced by namecalling,
and thus, I felt it fair to respond in kind. Not one, here, to merely whine
about it and move on. Enough of this drivel out of Wolfie is enough.
Accumulated annoyance over the tedious drivel directed to LaCourse, Dean,
RW, whatever is part of why I ran with Forty's analogy: ie-poking at piles
of ****. It gets damned tiresome poking through simple minded ****, even
though I stay at it. Frankly, LaCourse had it right: he's become a one-trick
pony, and, given that was hardly the case throughout his tenure here, sad to
see.....

Apparently someone sent Wolfgang's employer a sample of what
Wolfgang was posting to roff when he was supposed to working.
Say goodbye to daylong poster Wolfgang Siebeneich of the
Medical College of Wisconsin and say hello to Giles Goatboy
with the anonymous yahoo account who posts only at night.

There is, as you have noticed, a distinct difference between
the two.

According to Wolfgang we have rw to thank/blame for this
change in status. All I know is, it wasn't me.

I don't think poking at that pile of **** will do anything
other than make it smell worse, but if you've got a stick
I guess you're gonna use it. Carry on.
