so now the dem's have a clown at the helm...that's great.......
There is no more solemn duty for an American commander-in-chief than the marshalling of “all elements of American power” – the phrase Obama himself used on Monday – to protect the people of the United States. In that key respect, Obama failed on Christmas Day, just as President George W. Bush failed on September 11th (though he succeeded in the seven years after that). Yes, the buck stops in the Oval Office. Obama may have rather smugly given himself a “B+” for his 2008 performance but he gets an F for the events that led to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab boarding a Detroit-bound plane in Amsterdam with a PETN bomb sewn into his underpants. He said today that a “systemic failure has occurred”. Well, he’s in charge of that system. |
God or man no longer responsible: Obama to blame for all World'sproblems . . .
.. . . thus saith Beancounter. Of course we need to equate a badly
mismanaged 8 year war based on faked evidence, and 3 years of fumbling flood recovery, run away stealing, war profiteering, and spending, and a whole passel of foot tapping, vet abusing, and Argentine girlfriends, etc, . . . VERSUS . . . a few bureaucrats napping on their holiday season watch (must be Democrats right?). My guess is that the Administration will discipline and will plug the hole in our defenses. These guys will not get a high five and a "Good job Brownie." And be sure that when the discipline comes down the Whackjobs will howl that it was too severe, or not severe enough, or that Hillary made them do it to cover up some weird crap. Scheeeech. Why do these Tories hate their native land so much? |
another " shoe in " for the lefties........ . . .
The White House nominee to lead the Transportation Security Administration gave Congress misleading information about incidents in which he inappropriately accessed a federal database, possibly in violation of privacy laws, documents obtained by The Washington Post show. The disclosure comes as pressure builds from Democrats on Capitol Hill for quick January confirmation of Erroll Southers, whose nomination has been held up by GOP opponents. In the aftermath of an attempted airline bombing on Christmas Day, calls have intensified for lawmakers to install permanent leadership at the TSA, a critical agency in enforcing airline security. |

According to a "selected" polls that liberal CNN picked, Obama is
averaging 50%. A wider sample of polls have him UNDER 50%. It's funny how CNN claims that half the country approves of his job but their polls also say that more than half of Americans disapprove of his handling of the economy, health care, wars, etc. ---- Washington (CNN) – As 2009 comes to an end, about half of the country is giving President Barack Obama a thumbs-up. According to a CNN Poll of Polls compiled and released Thursday, Obama's approval rating in polls taken in the past week averages out to 50 percent, with 44 percent saying they disapprove. "Obama's average approval rating was at 52 percent or 53 percent every week from early October to mid-November. Each week since then, his average approval rating has been between 48 percent and 50 percent," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "The bad news for the White House is that his current rating is down by roughly 15 points since the start of the year. The good news is that it appears to have stabilized as the end of the year approaches." Since scientific polling began more than seven decades ago, only one popularly-elected president has ended his first calendar year in office with an approval rating below 50 percent. Ronald Reagan's approval rating dipped to 49 percent in December 1981, and stayed below 50 percent for two years - but he won re-election in a landslide, says Holland. By contrast, Jimmy Carter and the elder George Bush had approval ratings well over 50 percent in December of their first year in the White House, but lost their re-election bids. "So the first-year approval ratings don't appear to have any predictive value when it comes to re-election prospects," said Holland. The CNN Poll of Polls on how Obama is handling his job overall consists of an average of six surveys conducted within the last week: NBC/Wall Street Journal (Dec. 11-14), the Gallup tracking (Dec. 13-15), AP/GfK (Dec. 10-14), ABC/Washington Post (Dec. 10-13), Pew (Dec. 9-13), and Fox (Dec. 8-9). The Poll of Polls does not have a sampling error. Four of the six surveys in the overall Poll of Polls also asked about the president's handling of the economy, the number one issue on the minds of Americans. According to an average of those four polls, 45 percent approve of how Obama's dealing with the economy, while half of the public disapproves. Four of the six surveys also asked about Afghanistan. According to the CNN Poll of Polls, 50 percent, on average, approve of how Obama's handling that conflict, with 43 percent disapproving. Three of the surveys asked how the president's dealing with health care reform. According to the CNN Poll of Polls, 44 percent approve of Obama's handling of health care, with 51 percent giving him a thumbs down. The president's approval drops even lower for the budget deficit. Three of the surveys asked about the deficit, and the CNN Poll of Polls indicates 37 percent approve of Obama's handling of the issue, with 54 percent disapproving. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...ng-stabilizes/ |

mercilessly beaten and left for dead on the side of the road. One turns to the other and says, "Quick, we need to find who did this, they need our help”. |

One turns to the other and says, "Quick, we need to find who did this, they need our help”. Thats funny, but anybody who has ever managed a United Way or similar giving campaign at a place of employment most often can tell you what political outlook goes with stinginess and excuse making when it comes to charitable giving. And it's not libs per se. The exception in my experience are employees of public human services agencies whose charity stinginess I always found disturbing. The other generalization on lib giving I will risk based on experience, is that libs tend to favor advocacy versus service groups. I believe advocacy is prone to waste and bull****. Like many people with some Irish heritage I personally favor foodbanks, with the exception that I also give to a gay/tranny advocacy foundation that funds many rural programs in the NW, and of course I give as a college alum, but that's not charity. I don't give personally to overseas charities regularly. A very common ruse for right wingnuts (and the very stingiest, Libertarians) in my experience is for them to earmark the little they do give to something with a personal religious connection or a personal arts group or something like their kid's riding club. That way they get a "two-fer" credit, for half price. Wingnuts are also quite well known in fraud circles for using financial advisers help in hiding the assets of elderly ill parents, "spending down" and throwing the parents onto the public programs to pay for their long term care. In some wingnut churches getting church staff on disability and SSI is down to a formula. They use a similar scam to get taxpayers to pay for private and religious school tuition. One of the things I did as a consultant was to smoke out fraud. As to the kinds of individuals (rather than businesses) who seemed more fraud prone, I would put 2 unnamed minority groups (not Afro or Mex by the way), but the majority were White, and/or upper middle class, and their cheaten financial "planners." And Beanster, if you are doing tax you know some or all of these scams, so enough with your lying bull****. Dave |

Here is what Professor Olson of Hamline University says of Puppet Beanster's ****-ant attempt to attribute this crap to Olson. This is taken from the faculty profile of Olson from the Law school page on the University website. http://law.hamline.edu/node/784 "DISCLAIMER: There are a series of e-mails floating around the Internet dealing with the 2008 Obama/McCain election and the 2000 Bush/ Gore election, remarks of a Scottish philosopher named Alexander Tyler, suicide rates, or ANYTHING ELSE. I did not author any part of either email. I've been trying to kill this fallacy for nearly 10 years. I didn't have any part of it in 2000 and I still have no part of the email in regards to the 2008 election. For details see: http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/tyler.asp. " The snopes.com site looks at the individual assertions and attempts but fails to track the origins of this piece. Surprise? Beancounter, is just a puppet in this game. He wallows in the vomit of the whackjob dirty tricks operations and tries to pass it on. The same groups have specialized in this stuff for decades. They are sworn enemies of our form of government. They have a pretty face and a trotskyite face . Bill Kristol is a prime example. His whole family comes out of the New York City Trotskyite Communist cults of the 1940s and '60s. His father was a key Trotskyite ideologue. Now these folks have transmogrified into the "neocons." Same families-same worldview-same heavy handed big lie agitprop. Sound crazy? It is.
