Keep in mind, the lie about SH and 9/11 also resonated very well and
that was total fiction from the get-go.

I still haven't heard anyone in the administration actually say that
SH and 9/11 were connected. I've heard many people claim to hear it,
but it seems like selective hearing on the part of liberals to me.

I've heard SH and Al-Qaeda, but never SH and 9/11.

It was SH + Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda + 9/11 therefore SH + 9/11. Don't
try and dance on the head of that pin. If the administration links SH
to Al Qaeda, they know damned well that the public will link SH to 9/11
and the administration does it deliberately with that knowlege. If
you haven't heard it from the administration, I don't kow what you've
been listen to and reading for I recently watched a news cast where
Cheney repeated the assertion. That wasn't liberal fiction, I
watched and heard him say there were links.

I guess I'm just a better listener than "the public". Still sounds
like selective liberal listening to me.

Who says I'm a liberal?

I'm listening to NBC News as I type. Bush asserts that if Kerry had
been president, Saddam would still be in power (probably true) and
that Saddam would still be supplying weapons to terrorists (a
continuation of the 9/11 charge, though stated more obliquely). A
charge that has no evidence to support it and is based on the 9/11
linkage fiction. In fact, the invasion has provided greater
opportunity to put weapons in the hands of Islamic extrermists that
had Saddam still been around, would still be in his warehouses.
Please remember that SH worked actively to crush the Muqtada Shia and
the Sunni Wahabi extremist base of support that the terrorists are now
exploiting to kill your troops. Do you really think he would arm
them, knowing full well that he could perosnally be on the receiving
end of these weapons?

Who says I'm a liberal?

Not I. I'll revise it "selectively hearing what you want to hear."
I'm just used to hearing the complaint from excessively liberal
friends.

Or perhaps my hearing casts a wider net than your comfort range -- the
symptoms would feel the same to you.

The first interesting point related to the vacuous brouhaha over the missing
explosives. Anyone care to guess where the stuff went?
