I wasn't necessarily proud to be amn American.
I would be if this was a gov't of and for the people
It isn't but
I sure am glad we have a new President
I can also hope - for perhaps a bit more peace and a whole more serious
connection & concern for our environment

Well, I wasn't proud to be an American today. Neither were about 6.4
billion other people. That's a lot of people with something very wrong
with them.

I am glad there is a new president of your country, though.

And what's more important is that Obama WILL mess up. And he'll do it
again and again and again. Hell, anyone would mess up in that
position.

The difference is that the majority of us will see that as merely
something that happens to imperfect people in difficult situations.
Beancounter will see that as affirmation of everything that he has
ever said to denigrate and pre-accuse Obama of being flawed in every
way.

I know I'd hate to be held to such an impossible standard, and I'm
going to assume that BC would, too. And holding someone to such a
standard will do nothing but harm our country at a time when we need
to work together, make mistakes together, and grow strong again
together.

the Beancounters of this nation show us that this nation isn't their
concern. They are so focused on a narrow ideology, and steeped in fear and
hatred they don't see themselves what they are.......The same guys would rub
the word 'patriotism' in the face of others a few years back, yet now we see
their true colors.

While I was watching things go in the crapper yesterday I anticipated
some poor, unfortunate creature such as yourself spouting the usual
right wing horse pucky so I copied directly off the Reuters financial
news these headlines as presented at that moment:

New York Times falls on Slim's expensive loan
Banks and profit worries send stocks to session lows
Intel slashes processor prices as AMD looms
Warner Bros. To cut 800 jobs in coming weeks
Nasdaq extends losses on large cap tech weakness
Obama takes office with world economy in crisis
Oil rises more than 3 percent on weather and OPEC
Fiat and Chrysler strike alliance amid crisis
J&J profit rises, '09 profit view disappoints
State Street unrealized losses climb, stock falls
Saudi's Kingdom Holding posts $8.3 billion Q4 loss
Bank shares sink as investors fear more losses
U.S. asks banks for data on loans and securities buys
Credit insurers cautious as bankruptcy risk rises
TD Ameritrade profit down, cuts view

Huge losses and bad financial news got Wall Street to where was
yesterday, not how impressed it was with Obama.

And now for the beginning of the collapse of the nation, or
at the very least, the substantial crippling of it.

Obama is the country's first president selected, promoted,
and elected solely by the media by American Idol-type standards.

A pretty face, a plagarizing orator, and lack of any experience
at anything spells huge troubles for this country

You don't do your research very well, do you? Although he is a
registered Democrat, Don King is a virulent Bush supporter.

From http://www.spiritus-temporis.com/don-king/

"In 2004, Don King became increasingly active in the re-election
campaign of George W. Bush. Although a Democrat, King actively
supported George W. Bush's re-election. He was at the 2004 Republican
Convention and gave many media interviews."
