Coming off stinging election losses in Virginia and New Jersey -- not
to mention Copenhagen, where he failed to win the 2018 Olympics for
his hometown of Chicago -- President Obama is staying away from what
could become another painful loss.

Even though the campaign of Massachusetts Attorney General Martha
Coakley has been making quiet entreaties, the president has no plans
to visit her in the last week of the special election to fill the
Senate seat once held by the late Edward M. Kennedy.

"It's not on our schedule to go to next week," White House spokesman
Robert Gibbs said matter-of-factly.

.. . . and once again Puppet Beanie is full of it. Of course Obama will
campaign on Sunday in the close senate race to replace Kennedy exactly
because the polls show the Republican Brown too close to the Dem.
Brown (R) promises to vote against health reform, and against reform
and reinstatement of bank and mortgage, and wall street regulation. He
is another pretty faced radical. Unfortunately some elected Dems in
Mass have been involved in scandals that have ****ed off voters and
this has hurt the party in the senate race. It will be a close and
important race.

A U.S. missile strike in Pakistan killed one of the FBI's most-wanted
terrorists, a man suspected in a deadly 1986 plane hijacking with a $5
million bounty on his head, three Pakistani intelligence officials
said Friday.

The death would be the latest victory for the CIA-led missile campaign
against militant targets in Pakistan's insurgent-riddled tribal belt
bordering Afghanistan, a campaign that has recently escalated. One
Thursday is believed to have missed Pakistan's Taliban chief.

BOSTON (AP) - His health care bill at stake, President Barack Obama
plans a trip to Massachusetts to campaign for endangered Senate
Democratic candidate Martha Coakley amid release of a poll showing an
edge for the Republican Party in the race to fill a Senate seat
Democrats have held for over a half-century.
Democratic officials disclosed the president's plans Friday on
condition of anonimity because they were not authorized to pre-empt a
White House announcement. ...
