John...you're right. The easiest thing to do would be to sit on
my butt and do nothing.. Thats what most people do and what I did for
too long...but I guess I woke up when Rodney continued to bash
repeatedly a very respectable fishermen on this group.

When the guy down the road gets ran out of the business bc he
cheated someone out of thousands of dollars in their marine
business...do you just forget the guy ever existed and never tell
anyone?

Or when the guy who gets caught stepping on fish in an attempt to
get them to pass the legal length...do you just forget the guy ever
existed and never tell anyone?

Or when the guy wades out in the middle of a small "catch and
release" area after a major fishing tournament and is scooping up fish
with his hands...do you just forget the guy ever existed and never
tell anyone?

Now when the guy comes across a usenet group and calls every
fisherman on it fools and no-talent bums, spams his product repeatedly
and personally attacks a very respectable fishermen on this
group....do you just forget the guy ever existed and never tell
anyone?

It seems to me that its a golden rule thing...where we should be
doing unto others as we would have them do unto us. As a fisherman, I
know a ton of fishermen throughout my state and the country and I know
that they are interested about thiefs, cheaters, kooks, and snakeoil
salesman that might cross their paths. My dad runs a baitshop and has
a lot of patrons. It seems to me that we shouldn't carry any products
associated with Rodney and should never recommend any products
associated with him...bc he's a kook that is hurting fishing more than
he is helping. When I was a buyer, I dealt with many guys in the
manufacturing business and know that they were interested when someone
is "poison" for their products. I know many guys who are fishing the
FLW and BASS circuits and know that the majority of em' absolutely
would not want to be associated with this kind of person...no matter
how much money might be involved.

Word of mouth is pretty powerful stuff. I've got the right to
shout to the mountain tops or to whoever I want regarding people like
Rodney...

I, for one Coop, appreciate your stance. The greatest injustices happen
when folks ignore the smallest ones.

I hate SPAM as much as the next guy and I regularly send
complaints to the ISPs of serial SPAMmers. It doesn't do
much good anymore, the geeks running most ISPs these days
don't care much about Usenet complaints because they don't
care much about Usenet and a SPAMmer paying $20 a month is
more important to them than complaints from a non-customer.

Rodney is a SPAMmer, a serial SPAMmer and beyond that he's
a pompous, self-promoting windbag who has gone out of his
way to offend some of the folks on this newsgroup. But so
far as I know he is not a thief or a cheat and when Mr.
Cooper implies that he is *THAT* is a greater injustice
than SPAMming. If it's your intent, as you say, not to
ignore injustices you might want to tell Mr. Cooper to
take a chill pill and dial down the nastiness.

Ken, I can see where Coop is putting Rodney at the same level with thiefs
etc, but not where he's calling him a thief.

He was baiting me, a lawyer trick, so I would say something about
lawyers, like there is nothing that has less ethics than some lawyers,
they are the ones who will do anything, and say anything to get any
sleaze ball client, off the hook, they are paid to tear witnesses apart,
make then look like trash, they will say anything to do it. They can say
anything about anyone, even when they have ZERO evidence, just what ever
comes into their minds in the courts,, yet all us real people get in
trouble for lying in court.

They don't care what is right, only who is paying them

That post was so funny, it hurt, I kept looking for him to call me
trailer trash :-)

If he truly meant what he was saying, he would start with people in his
own profession, they are the majority of the groups he listed

As for me I have never cheated, or scammed anyone, nor made any claims
that could not be backed up, on my inventions. The "lawyer" has ZERO
proof I have.

I talk to roughly a hundred different fishermen a month, during the show
season sometimes thousands, I have never been called a snake oil
salesman by them, all that have seen me with my fishing inventions have
been as nice as people can be, all wanting to know more. I guess the
Internet is a lot different than talking to people face to face.

I saw something today that was different, the lake I do a lot of testing
in had been dropped about three feet, and the water was slowly coming
back up, the bream (2 to 4 inch bream) were raiding the dead mussels
that had got caught high and dry, and just got covered with water again)
a bream would rip one out of the shell and swim with it as others
attacked it in the first one's mouth (it was much to large for the first
one to swallow) as I watched this, a couple of little 12 inch bass would
charge the ball of bream every couple of min. picking one off each time.

I would bet those bass were just hungry, they were not chasing a fleeing
object, the bream were in a feeding frenzy though, not paying any
attention to the bass.

Sweet Jesus!!!! I can't believe this thread has carried so far as it has. A
couple of years ago someone suggested we all take an oath to "never" reply
to Al, and I took that oath. I never kill filed him because the replys that
he still generated would still come through. That's exactly what's happening
now, all of the replies are coming through. I agree with most everone on
here that he has a way of irriating people, but he always seems to only
reply to Warren's postings, maybe because he knows he can stir things up by
doing so. If we all take that oath again then maybe he'll quit popping into
this NG just to get on people's nerves. Of course he'll probably relpy to
this and I'll have scar tissue on my tongue from biting down to prevent
answering, but I'm taking an oath.

it is a good lure, but nothing like this.""

Fish not biting? No problem! You'll never be skunked again, just wiggle
your rig:

"I have fine tuned my wiggle rig to catch everything from bream to bass,
and when they are bitting nothing else"

Not sure what he's saying here (but it's so funny I had to add it):

"My Boomerang was like the Write brother's flyer, or Apples first
computer. They both were great acomplichments"

Leave all your other lures home folks, but bring an extra wiggle rig or
two. You'll win every tournament you fish:

"The SpecTastic Wiggle Rig and lure is to fishing, like a Main frame, is
to computing and the F-28 Rapture is to flying."

Words of wisdom from the man that reinvented the fish hook:

"NEVER TAKE ANOTHER'S BAR ROOM BET, you will always loose."

If there's a bass in your favorite trout stream, beware - you're about to
catch it:

"The Wiggle rig is not going to be marketed to bass fishermen, but to
live bait fishermen, trout, and pan fishermen. Although these guys will
catch any bass that is near where they are using the rig."

But fret not fellow bass fishermen, because:

"You will be reading about it in all the fishing rags over the next year,
and beyond, in five years you probably won't buy a rag without some
story about it in it..."

-yup, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle every month - Field & Stream, Sports Afield,
Esquire...

And if you thought bass fishing was big:

"This market is 20 times that of bass fishermen, and these guys just want
to catch fish any fish, and they are not arogant, like many bass fishermen
are."

ESPN, by the way, is cancelling BassCenter in light of the upcoming
Crappie Saturday block of programs.

What seperates us (lowly) bassers from the livebait, trout &
panfishermen?
"their heads are not too big, and their brains so small"

It's so simple:

"The "new" wiggle rig is based on my learning what every editor fish will
eat, regardless of the time of the day, regardless of the size of the
fish, they all eat this in it's natural state, when ever they find one. "

Rodney's found the Holy Grail that lure manufacturers have been searching
for for centuries. Lauri Rapala you should be ashamed of yourself:

"I just came up with a way to mimic the "natural state" of this food with
a plastic lure of the same shape and size."

Yes folks, this thing's even gonna put the minnow guy out of business:

"We have fished it side by side everything from live bait to every lure
you
can think of, (it has out caught everything)"

And straight from the genius that's about to turn the fishing world upside
down:

"When are you going to learn ?"

Ouch, that hurts.

Hey Jerry, I for one will never see another post from either of them... or
at least until Rodney alters his e-mail address again to escape my
kill-file. While people are in there... they're free to act anyway they
want, and I'll never know.

Just so everyone knows...this guy is putting words in my mouth
and is probably doing so bc he hates "conservatives", "Christians" and
"lawyers"...at least what I can tell based on his earlier posts in
this group.

Reread my posts. I did not imply that he was a thief or cheat.
I just said what 99% of this group is thinking...

Maybe I should've continued to just think it...rather come out
and say it...but it just didn't seem right for nobody (or at least too
few peeps) to come out and defend the gentlemen in our group who
continue to be attacked by the snake-oil salesman...
