I put a spreadsheet together for this sort of thing some time ago. I remember grappling with conversions from kilos to pounds and ounces etc. Also sorting the list various ways. Email me a copy and I'll look at it. -- Nogood Boyo |

I convert from lbs + ozs to kilos for TDFA - simple "off the sheet" formula and a couple of columns. I must teach you how to do it some time :-) :-) :-) :-) -- Bill Grey http://www.billboy.co.uk |

Where cell A1 contains a numeric value in kg, for the stones part use:
In one cell =INT(CONVERT(A1,"kg","lbm")/14) for the remainder in pounds: in another cell =MOD(CONVERT(A1,"kg","lbm"),14) |
oops...wrong one....thats stones and pounds.
Check this formula for converting Kilograms to Pounds and Ounces; be sure you have been to Tools, Add-Ins and checked Analysis Toolpak. =INT(CONVERT(A2,"kg","lbm"))&" lbs " &INT( MOD(CONVERT(A2,"kg","ozm"),16))& " oz"http://www.barasch.com/excel/xlFormulas.htm |
