Plan on a 4 Corners trip week of 3/29/04. Any info
on how Delores fishes that time of year appreciated.

Also Jeep/Mtn bike trail info would be appreciated

I'm awaiting a geography lesson on this one, 'cause I thought the four
corners area was in the middle of a friggin desert.

And, sadly, I just can't hear the name Delores without thinking of that
Seinfeld episode.

The Four Corners is in the mountains. It is beautiful country
with many trout fishing opportunities. I spent some time in
Chalma New Mexico with a
Great Aunt in 1942. The roads were dirt in those days and Chalma
was a quaint little mining town with board sidewalks. It's not
far to the Four Corners from there. She had an old Model T Ford
my cousin and another boy got running and we drove it all over
the mountains. What an adventure for the three of us, none of us
had drivers licenses, or fishing licenses. Those were the days
my friends. :)

on Seinfeld.

The four corners area is a VERY cool place with lots of history. There's
still some of the old magic lingering around.

It is desert right at the four corners, but there's lots of fishing
within an hour's drive. The fishing in the Delores has been up and down
over the last couple years because of flows. If you're looking for a
tailwater, the San Juan might be better.

There are a couple good shops in Durango that came give you up to the
minute fishing info. Duranglers is one. There's alot of good small
stream fishing in the area and some of them hold some surprisingly good
fish.

I agree. I haven't been there in a while, but I'm seriously
considering going through the area either on the way to or from the
western clave this year.
