The final decision is in - I love yozuri...

Today, I took a quick outing and after losing much pride(I fell in, I fell
on my ass twice, and I bent a hook), I have to say I love yozuri. I was
throwing a crank bait when the wind put it on the other side of some weeds
for me...as I tried to retrieve it safely, I thought I snagged until I
realized - I wasn't reeling in but the weeds are moving like I am...it was
then I realized I hit something, and something big at that. Long story
short, after getting wrapped around two weed beds, I ended up landing a foul
hooked 15+ lb carp(my scale only goes to 15, unfortunately but he easily
felt 20 lbs..) on 10# yozuri. I figured with all the abuse I put it through
with the weeds and crap he swung me around it would've broken..but it
didn't. It held strong. :)

I'll post some pics on ABPF when I get them downloaded...

You actually fell into the water? Glad you weren't hurt, and you day
turned out on the bright side.

How does it hold up against heavy (hard) cover? Zebra mussels? I'd check
it out before falling head over heels...

Yeah, one point when I went to grab it, it tried to run and I ended up
losing my balance..didn't go all the way in, just ankle deep but enough to
annoy the hell outta me.

I'd use it. The line is really strong. I have used a bunch of different
lines and this stuff rips lilly pads up and is real good on rocks and
sticks. IMO

Warren,

I like the Yozuri Hybrid. It's actually my preferred line for DS fishing
and for light tackle jigging. It's pretty abrasion resistant, and I've used
it pretty successfully in the Hudson.

I use it when wacky rigging on spinning gear and also fishing light jigs on
my curado. It has yet to fail me like most other lines have.. I like it
much!!!!!
