I never thought....

......I would live to say "Congrats to the WORLD CHAMPION Boston Red Sox!

That, and a full eclipse. What a night.

And they do it going on an eight game winning streak against the second
and third best teams in baseball!

Russell

How sweet it is!

Hoooooah!

Holy smokes, they really did it! I watched every game, suffered those first
three games with the Yanks and then the late night antics in The Greatest
Comeback In Baseball History....and I still can't believe this ending really
happened.

Yikes!

An object lesson in the power of a single-minded purpose. From the jump to the
last out, the Red Sox never took their knee off the Cardinals throats...

/daytripper (The Red Sox were Ruthless! ;-)

I guess if it had to happen, it couldn't have happened in better
circumstances. The Red Sox didn't just beat some flash-in-the pan expansion
team who bought their way to a series. This was a classic matchup between
two of the oldest, most historic franchises in baseball. Congratulations to
the Sox; they and all their fans deserve to celebrate.

Now . . . how many days until pitchers and catchers report?

Bob

Uh, hmm, 8 straight victories against two teams that each won 206 games, a
gang of idiots finishing with a shutout and the leader of the "gang"
smacking the winning HR in the first at bat of the game. Gotta say it.
"HOMERIC" See you in 2090.
