I think its too big and heavy. I just picked up a few boxes, clear lid, split foam on one side, at Coleman's. These will hold a ton of nymphs, and they are much skinnier and lighter than my CF box. I haven't seen anything like it on the web, but I think Carls supplier is Angler Sport Group (dealer only). They don't have this box up on their site. I haven't tried this box yet, cause I'm too lazy to move my flies over, but I'm anxious to. Scott |

I'm going to buy a new one this winter and fill it up so I've been shopping. I found the CF boxes well made but too pricey for me. I've pretty much decided on the Morrells due to their lightness, price and durability. g.c. |

My vote is Morrell and CF but I'll check out those Fox Boxes for sure.

I've pretty much switched over to CF and Morell boxes. My vest has 4 CFs. Expensive yes, but Harry, if you sell them cheap, I can mothball my Morells ;-) For big streamers, I use these boxes: http://www.gurglersonline.com/flybox.html Similar to the way CF boxes hold flies, but this foam holds it a lot more securely. brians |

Morell, they're cheap, light, float and work well. I like to save as much weight as possible in my vest. A light vest is much more comfortable than a heavy one. Willi |

I have several Aquafly and really like them, but they are bulky for what
they hold. I am also a buddy of the guy who makes them so am a bit biased. I think the C&F boxes are the best on the market these days but don't own any as I have more flyboxes than I will ever need and am too tight to spring for them. Clark "Bones" wrote in message ... I like the C&F design too. There was an article last year in a fly
fishing mag. Sorry but I don't remember which one. They discussed about 10 or so different boxes. They liked the C&F too. You can get extra pads for them. I plan on getting some extra pads for specific types of fishing, say bass/blue gill fishing. They pop in and out easily. I have two boxes and plan to get one more. The compartment boxes mentioned in this thread DO hold a lot of flies and I tried them but it seems the fly that I wanted was always on the bottom of the bunch. |
