out of the good old sacremento USA. Sage, Abel, Reddington, Dyna-King, or
did i miss something?

Remember, I request this assistance *not* for myself, but for a pathetic
Republican moron that just happens to be my little brother.

Pathetic enough to send you a nice gift

Assistance and flame welcome, though either most of flamers will already
have me in their k-files, or I will have them in my k-file.

So if you see this, that Sage DS2 five weight on close out matched with the
Ross Cimaron or the Reddington CD reel would do rather nicely.

Redmond, Oregon, the town 15 miles north me, is a place where just a few
years ago, bar and street fights were conducted with fists, pool cues and
handguns. Recent events, however, have led many of us to believe that the
gentrification of Central Oregon has finally reached the point of no
return ..... :(

It does seem a tad ungracious, Mark. Unless there are a lot of
reasons other than his being a Republican that you don't want his
gift.

Maybe Mark was posting in a tongue-in-cheek fashion and you folks

Well, that's been known to happen. I don't know about the others, but
it happens to me anywhere from once a year to once a week, depending
on who I'm hearing / reading from and what the humour is. Slides
right through my blind spot.

Yes.

Well, to be more specific, yes I'm talking to you.

I didn't get the " 'so-called' " reference....it seemed like an online shop
to me. And other than him being republican, was there something else that
bugged you?

Maybe this was all sort of tongue-in-cheek about having to deal with
relatives who are republicans, after the elections, but if so it seems to
have fallen astray. Was there more that I missed? (as someone once said on
roff....I seem to miss things that are incredibly obvious to everyone else,
or at least thats what my ex- tells me.)

haven't accepted christmas gifts for the last 34 years. Yeah, I found it a
bit ungracious on his part.

Giggle. Well put.

You don't celebrate the winter solstice and the return of the sun in
any way? Considering my tendency to seasonal affective disorder (not
at all bad this year, thanks for thinking of asking), I tend to hate
the forced giving and even the party aspect of Christmas, but am
always delighted when it happens as it means spring is, if slowly, on
the way.

Take up Druidism? I understand it's a lot of nature worship, though
the human sacrifice part is a bit ishy. Maybe that part's not really
required. But you can go hug an oak tree.

It does seem less than sensitive of him to give you any kind of
Christmas present. Like plain old stupid?

It isn't. One can use substitutes......ersatz will do. There are dozens of
candidates right here in good old ROFF.

But you can go hug an oak tree.

Sound advice. One always knows that while hugging a tree one will never
fall off the planet. That ain't a bad start.
