3 Greatest Movies All Time

The new cabin on penns creek is all cleaned out! By spring I should
have the place looking pretty damn good. This weekend I'm putting down
a new carpet in the livingroom and setting up a fly dressing table to
seat 4. I hope there's no slave labor law in Weikert, no one stays for
free! Now all I need are some DVD's to stock pile for when Tom
Littleton comes to the valley and brings a hurricane with him. So what
are your 3 greatest movies all time: I've got - Deliverance, The Deer
Hunter, Casablanca, On the Waterfront, Cool hand Luke, Pulp Fiction,
Jaws-The first one only.

"The Outlaw Josey Wales"

that's a trap, right? like when someone arrogantly points out that your

No way I can pare down to three.
Seven Samurai, Exorcist, Fiddler on the Roof, How Green Was My Valley

For the sheer violence:
Videodrome, and Last House on the Left.

Re those last two, Aristotle pointed out that we watch these things to
purge ourselves of emotions we're best off without.

Favorite tongue in cheek reference: Fishtar (for Waterworld)

Hi,

If we play Ken's game to the logical end we'd have a good list for my
tastes
In order, no less:

Lord of the Rings (trilogy)
Star Wars (the first three)
Indiana Jones "trilogy" (but I'd have to think about Harry Potter, too)
or three

OK, OK, I'll play nice...well, not so much "nice" as "not smart-assed"...

IMO, there are lots of great movies, and just like music, any list that'd I
write at 6:45pm today would likely change by 7:45pm, and would certainly change
by 10:45pm tonight or 6am tomorrow. For example, if I get one more call tonight
for "the homeowner" that starts out "this isn't a sales call," any movie in
which telemarketers are violently beaten with the entire New York City Yellow
AND white pages would be the greatest of all time. However, after a martini, a
nice steak and good wine with my honey, and a little Christmas cheer with
friends, aw, hell, Gigli ain't THAT bad and I'd actually sit through (most of,
anyway) a chick flick without observing (well, as often, anyway) that it'd
probably be better if Jerry Bruckheimer had been involved in making it...

R
