Pflueger Trion
I was just wondering if anyone has ever fish with one of these.
I use mostly Curados, but I have talked to a few people who actually like the Pflueger Trion better. I'm thinking about getting one, but I'd like to hear more feedback. Thanks.... BM |
Pflueger Trion
I recently purchased a Pflueger President and its ok. I'll wait to see how
it holds up. I have several Pflueger Trion spinning reels and the work just fine, but I don't have a Pflueger Trion baitcaster. I kinda got the impression that the Trion was basically the low end of the Pflueger reels with the Supreme being the next step up and the president being the best. Only time will tell of course. -- Public Fishing Forums Fishing Link Index www.YumaBassMan.com webmaster at YumaBsssMan dot com "Bucket Mouth" wrote in message ... Pflueger reels are made in China. I was about to purchase a President
until I learned that. ken "Bucket Mouth" wrote in message ... I was just wondering if anyone has ever fish with one of these. I don't have one, and like you use the Curado. I could not believe just how
smooth that reel is. I am going to get one this week and break it in on Friday... |

They're make in Korea. I have a Pflueger Supreme (The BPS version of the Trion)
and it's as smooth or smoother than a Curado. I doubt that it will last as long, but it sure is a pleasure to fish with now. Mark McCoybr McCoy's Market Bumpus Mills, Tennesseebr http://www.mccoysmarket.com |

You say Korea and that is probably the way your reel is marked. I sent a
letter to Pflueger a couple weeks ago and asked if they had any models manufactured in USA. They came back to me with this answer "All our reels are now made in China" Anyway, one can not complain about he, she or their offspring losing a job if they purchase "Made in Someplace else". I guess they found cheaper labor in China. Mine is last year's model and it's

I could care less if they're made in the USA, China, Korea, Japan or
where ever.....as long as it is high quality. Obviously I'd rather buy stuff made in America. Let me ask you this. Would you rather buy something of very high quality thats made over seas, or something with so-so quality thats made in the USA? I'll take the higher quality thank you.... |

Try Van Staal reels. They are made in the US. http://www.vanstaal.com/

Van Straal has some incredible reels. They are obviously the Ferrari of
reels made for a few select wealthy. I drive a Ford. They do not, at least I have not found one, make bait casting reels suitable for bass fishing or I would start saving my pennies. Ken .. Avet people tell me they are in the design process for a new line of "Made

That's funny, when I was installing the step rails on my Ford F250 I noticed
that it has, "Made in Mexico" stamped on the frame. -T "IMKen" wrote in message ... Van Straal has some incredible reels. They are obviously the Ferrari of reels made for a few select wealthy. Someone wrote "That's funny, when I was installing the step rails on my Ford

Yup, that's exactly my point. If you're buying American to support local
industry you need to make sure that you're buying "Made in the USA" and not "Made in America" which is a cheap marketing trick. -Tommy "Sarge" wrote in message ... I don't have any outsourced step rails on my Truck. There are many after
market items manufactured in foreign countries. At least when it is "made in Mexico" it keeps a few on the right side of the border. I would imagine that there are many parts within my Ford that come from abroad. It still employees many folks here in this country other than a Sales person. I can't say that about a Kia and many others. Purchase what you like. Do what is right for you. I will try to do that as well as do what is right for my country whenever possible. Actually, the step rails where made in the USA, the truck came from Mexico,
or at least the frame itself did, I have no idea where it was assembeled. I think my point was that you have to be careful who you _do_ endorse. I'm not saying one shouldn't buy Fords because they're made in Mexico, Ford employs a very large number of people in the United States and they make a fine product. That's why I drive one and use one to tow my BassTracker (Made in the USA) to fish for Bass, he said calmly bringing the thread back on topic. -Tommy "IMKen" wrote in message ... Actually, the step rails where made in the USA, the truck came from Mexico,
or at least the frame itself did, I have no idea where it was assembeled. The first three vehicle identification number (VIN) positions are the world manufacturer code. The fourth VIN position is the vehicle brake type and GVWR code (all vehicles use hydraulic brakes). The fifth through 7th indicate vehicle line, series and body type. The eighth VIN position is the engine displacement and number of cylinders. The ninth VIN position is a government assigned, computer-generated check digit. The tenth VIN position is the model year code. The eleventh VIN position is the assembly plant code. Yhis is for Ford S - Allen Park (Allen Park, Michigan) E - Kentucky Truck (Jefferson County, Kentucky) M - Cuautitlan (Cuautitlan, Mexico) The last six VIN positions are an alphanumeric code for the vehicle build sequence. This is also the vehicle serial and warranty number. Sarge |
