absolutely be the last time I even attempt to say something decent to/about

No duplicity at all. My apology was for making the statement. Not the
content. I stand behind the fact that you are an ignorant fool. The only
thing I did incorrectly was not recognize that you had a modicum of
knowledge concerning canoes. You were talking out of your ass about kick
boats so I assumed that you were doing the same about canoes. We all know

I'm looking for some advice on a new rod purchase in my latest post.....

I haven't bought a rod in years. Try building (assembling) a rod. Hook
and Hackle has some specials. It's best to do in the winter, though. :-)
