Well today at 4:00 PM we play Montana St. I was specially selected to work
today's game, cause no one else could or would work it. I'll be finishing up an Analysis Project for my research methods class, while watchin' ASU run all over Montana St., I hope! On or about the 8th or 9th of Dec. we will play either Illinois St. or Youngstown St., with the blessings of Allah(PBUH), Jesus H. Christ (PBUH), Buddha (PBUH), Vishnu (PBUH), Zeus (PBUH), Athena (PBUH), Foghorn Leghorn (PBUH). I-AA brackets can be found he http://tinyurl.com/y42692 I have lost 99% of the grip in both hands and am having great difficulty typing this post, but I will be in the capable hands of Dr. Maxy on Dec. 8th, at which time I hope to regain my hands. OBROFF--I bumped into coach Moore, ASU's venerable leader, the other day at the Physical Plant Warehouse. He was scouting large chalk boards and as ASU's (OLD & TBC) Outside Lighting Director and The ******* Child, I was procuring some high-pressure sodium lamps. Having a few minutes on our hands, which is all that my hands can handle, presently, we discussed sportz. I congratulated the coach on last seasons National Championship and this seasons victories and SoCon Championship. Fly fishing came up, don't remember how but I'm certain that I didn't mention it :~^ ) As it turns out, coach Moore is a very pleasant and friendly sort of fella. He said that he had been fly fishing out on Montana, but hadn't had an opportunity to do any locally. I, humbly, offered to guide him--for some championship tickets--and he reluctantly accepted. He asked for my ph.# and said he'd become a real nuisance, come Spring. I sure hope he's as honest as he is personable. I really need the connection, having told our new Physical Plant Director, my BIG BOSS, and recently retired Navy Capt., to "Blow me! You filthy pig-mouthed *******!" Which he took very well, I might add, but everyone else in the room seemed to have vapor-locked? But I digress. Op |

Funny you should mention wild women, Handyman. My partner, as in co-worker, and I were sittin' in our state van, when this loverly, but somewhat inebriated young lady comes up to the window and tells my partner to "get your ass out of the truck!" She then look over at me and lets out a yell that would cause my partner to nearly soil his britches. I think, "where do I know this flaming young philly from. She hangs in the window shoutin' "High Five!" Naturally, I high five her, numerous times. She informs us that she works for the world's best law firm and says they are located in Charlotte, NC. Well, I recognize a liar when I hear one, as I know the world's best law firms are located in Greensboro, NC and Greenville, NC. She bounds off, later to be seen with her head draped over the railing of the home bleachers, passed out? My partner did see a tattoo on her breast as she reached in to high five me. I had to wait to get to see the neuro-doc and then I was too far into my research methods class to back out, not that I would have anyway. My class ends Mon. at 6 PM, when I turn in my Analysis Project. I only hope I passed this class. I hate to think I put myself thru the pain of sittin' in front of a computer all thru thanksgiving, with only a short break for dinner on Thurs. Not to mention the mental anguish! It's been a while since I have taken a full blown exam, and our final was a full blown bitch! What really amazes me is that my back doesn't hurt, but my hands have fingers have swollen, become so tender that I can't even shake hands, or bump them. Montana has to take care of buisness with UMass before they can play with ASU. In and out that quick and recovering function already, it sounds like you had a micro-laminectomy done? I've had two, and the immediate results were as profound as yours sounds. Just like flipping a switch. I'll have to Tivo today's game to see what my home boyz are gonna face. This whole playoff thing is pretty exciting - it's been 8 years since the last time they were even in the playoffs, never mind contending for the 1AA championship. And the UMA football operation usually runs a net yearly deficit of a couple of million dollars, so this adventure might help them out next year...to pry open those alumni wallets ;-) /daytripper |

"daytripper" wrote in message ... That sounds excellent, Mark. It's most EXCELLENT, if I do say so myself! In and out that quick and recovering function already, it sounds like you had a micro-laminectomy done? I've had two, and the immediate results were as profound as yours sounds. Just like flipping a switch. I don't recall the proceedures name--Cervical disc surgery?, but the doc goes in from the front of my neck, cuts out a section of bone from the *foramina/lamina*. Then he removes the disc, partially or completely. He then take a bone segment to fuse the vertebrae. I chose to go with the donor bone graft, as he said my recovery time would mainly depend on the bone removed from my hip. He also said the pain factor shoots up, if he uses my own bone. He srews a metal plate to the two vertebrae, to hold the bone wedge in place, where the disc used to be. Presently, the only pain I am experiencing is a sore throat form the trach-tube, and repositioning of my esophogus during surgery. I LOVE MY NEURO-DOC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll have to Tivo today's game to see what my home boyz are gonna face. This whole playoff thing is pretty exciting - it's been 8 years since the last time they were even in the playoffs, never mind contending for the 1AA championship. Last year was our first, if Im not mistaken. I just got a call from Dan "the elevator man" Steiger. He's Otis' elevator man on campus and he has to work all the games, because of the chancellor's box. He was callin' to check on me, which naturally led a 30 minute talk. He said that Youngstown St. makes us look like a pee wee league team :~^ ( he said the Youngstown St. boyz are difinitely "corn fed!" He should know, as he's from Iowa himself and no little bitty fella. I'm converting him from a worm dunker to a real fisherman. He gave me a Knight black-powder .50 cal and I am giving him a 5-6 wt. Reddington rod, a Diawa reel, and the necessary accoutrements to get him on the water. And the UMA football operation usually runs a net yearly deficit of a couple of million dollars, so this adventure might help them out next year...to pry open those alumni wallets ;-) After we won last years championship, the sports program came into a bout 36 million in alumni monies, not to mention what it has done for us recruiting atheletes and undergrads in general. If we win the championship this year, I might eve get a raise :~^ )~ You wanna place a bet? Op /daytripper |
