Had the name of a guy 8in Mass. that did bamboo rod repair and lost

It isn't particularly difficult, and unless this is one of those $10,000.00USD bamboo rods, there's not really anything to "mess up" permanently or that can't be "undone," especially if you don't varnish the wraps until you're satisfied with them. OTOH, if you simply aren't interested in doing so, that's understandable...well, sort of, anyway. He's the only builder I know of from Adams Massachusetts. In anycase he passed away in Nov. 1999. -tom |
