Wow, that hurts.
I also fish bamboo and can see how easily one can get attached
to the fly-rod. I think he owes you one.

If anyone sends their 'boo for repair and needs it tested afterwards, it's
in my back yard. ;-)

You're the one guy here who goes fishing less than I do. If you're
going to test it, you need to actually fish.

"Repair" is quite a bit different from "restore." What, specifically,
are you trying to have done, and to what rod?

I have plans to remedy that this year.

Send 'boo, will test. :)

I might mail a book back east but ifin you want to test one of my

Michigan on 4/28 or in the smokys on 5/18

These damn conservatives want everything given to them on a silver
platter;)

Good to see you, Bill. Besides, it saved us all the agony of a "where's
Bill" post. :)

Seriously, I hope all is well. If you need a break from the norm, you
know where I live - and it's almost unsolid water time.

Season opens weekend of the 28th. I've got to go up and try to get a trailer
for that drift boat I rescued, so if you're free you have my number.

If that's the case, have you considered doing it yourself? It isn't
particularly difficult, and unless this is one of those $10,000.00USD
bamboo rods, there's not really anything to "mess up" permanently or
that can't be "undone," especially if you don't varnish the wraps until
you're satisfied with them. OTOH, if you simply aren't interested in
doing so, that's understandable...well, sort of, anyway.

IAC, if you are interested in doing it yourself, but simply aren't sure
how or where to begin, post as such.

TC,
R

Risky procedure. Uncomfortable even in best case scenario. Glasses or
contacts may suffice. Consult with your optometrist.

Gent,
by any chance were you referring to Master Rodsmith Francis DeGere,
better known as "Digger"? He's the only builder I know of from Adams
Massachusetts. In anycase he passed away in Nov. 1999.
