Fly fishing in 7 letters or less.

I was hoping someone might be able to help me out here... I need 7
letters or less to describe either this site or fly fishing.

A few thoughts...

NEFF
Mayfly
5x Trout

Thanks

George's response was very clever and would be hard to top.....and not worth
the effort.....unless one were trying demonstrate that he was more clever
than George.....and that would be hard to do.....and unseemly besides, but
George knows that trying to describe ROFF or fly fishing in any meaningful
sense would be a fool's errand at best, and that's aside from the utter
absurdity and impossibility of the venture.

Maybe it would help if you could give us some idea of what this is about.

Thanks

You're welcome.

who hastens to add (unnecessarily, one would hope.....but you never know)
that it isn't for lack of applicable seven letter words. in fact, an oft
used one comes readily to mind. :)

The original poster is the guy who's trying to drum up traffic
on his lame ass bulletin board by linking it to roff. His request
could be for a license plate, I guess, but Little Wolfie is right,
the guy should just come out and say what it's all about.

I wondered why he used the word 'site', which is appropriate to the
web but not in the least to a newsgroup. But many people don't bother
to learn the difference. Which sometimes makes them look pretty
foolish.

All that answered his request are veterans of roff and the internet
and I'm possitive they know the difference between a site and a ng.
Even a novice would know the difference. Paranoia over the internet,
however, is something entirely different.

Gee, Ken... Stick it in and break it off. I'm sickened that you don't
like the site.

Anyhow...

You're right... I could have come out to say exactly what the purpose
was, but I thought that might limit the creativety that went into it.

Gotta hand it to you though, you're a smarty pant figuring that out all
by yourself... It's for a license plate that I'd like to put on my car.
You win the brown nugget. Where should I send it?

For all others who were nice enough to respond positively, I've had
quite a few other suggestions such as:

louper
22 inchr
byof (bring your own flies)
reelrod
trout d8 -(trout date)
floater
drifter
neffbum
bugfshr
flychkr
ff4life
notfudr
trout7x
7xPoP4x
flyfish
NeFFCom
FF4TRTs
6xtppet
dblhaul
putmbak
tghtlup or thtlups
rleasem
speyman
palmdrg
bentrod
getbent
SIZ MTRS
SZE MTRS
SPNRFAL

GoPhish
MoreH2O
IDBugz2
RipaLip
trtflys
wackem
trtfish
BownBrn
ICBKing
zzz zzz
PigSl8R
pupa4me

Anyone have a favorite?

By the way, I've nothing to hide.

I couldn't care less about your site but it's an act of desperation
and futility to link a dormant New Jersey fly fishing bulletin board
to roff in hopes of attracting traffic. Not to mention lame.

There's never been a lack of creativity on roff and most of us can

One of the more enlightening and thought provoking exchanges in the recent
history of ROFF.

dennie, apparently the sole proprietor and lord high poobah (and, naturally,
executioner) of a website/bulletin board/ message board/ whateverthe****,
where people write things like "Gosh, I hope I didn't come across as being
judgmental" (honest to God!.....some guy named Christopher somewhere Canada
or something......um, but the quote marks should be understood as simply
delineating an important piece of text. doubtless, since I never thought
I'd have need of it, I've gotten the exact wording wrong......but you get
the picture), comes here to say to people things that would get him booted
off his own site (in what would undoubtedly be one of the more interesting
displays in the recent history of self-flagellant reality internet) and
kennie counterslams with yet another demonstration that he can STILL, after
all this time, punishment and travail, have someone copy what he has just
had read to him and have somebody send it back.....in spades!

Huzzah! :)

I see you didn't waste any time registering. Jeez, you even filled in
all the empty spaces. You put more work into registering for a dormant
site than many of the users who (or is it whom?) actually appreciate
the site and use it on a daily basis. Bordom, humor,... Nah... If it
was humor, you would have filled everything in with bogus info. You
even took the time out to include your mug shot!

Not to mention lame.

Don't like it? Don't visit it! Simple as that.

There's never been a lack of creativity on roff and most of us can
even spell the word.

At times i ken spel, other times I can't, but that's why we
under-educated have highly intelligent people like yourself around. You
keep us morons informed. For that, speaking on behalf of all morons, we
thank you.

Stick it in and break it off.

I see I'm entertaining you, so I expect to hear back from you soon.
