Hey Mike I liked the poem - Mayfly I did. Thanks. You do make some useful posts sometimes but 98% of them are defensive or offensive useless crap. When you want to insult somebody from now on pls do it w an off topic - OT Otherwise I am gonna plonk you also. I have already done so w others on this group and it is far more tolerable that way. I would miss some of your good advice which I do appreciate - but it is getting more rare Thanks in advance Fred |

OBROFF: We have a vast arsenal of patterns to chose from these days, things like the copper john, flash-this, bead-that and epoxy-the- other. The material choices and brilliant inventors and craftsmen behind the vice are creating flat out deadly imitations. Still, I am almost always pleased using the classic wet flies, Cahill, Iron Blue and more and love to keep them stocked and love even more the excitement I feel tying one in like those folks must have felt 100 years ago and more. Best regards, Tim I always loved the colour plates of flies in various books. Really good plates were quite rare in many books. Also of course, one gets a much better impression of flies when one has a decent picture. I really enjoyed these as well, ( although I donīt dress bass flies): http://www.mike-connor.homepage.t-on...vis/orvis.html TL MC |
