Cancels are rarely accepted these days, so don't waste your time bothering
about it. And I wouldn't lose any sleep over your minor transgression here,
either.

Just don't do it again, lest we resurrect our recently passed bouncer...

/daytripper (no doubt, that would be really nasty ;-)

Got the first message killed- so thats good. Wont happen again guys.

On a side note- any Colorado guys or gals in the group? I recently
moved from Denver to the Midwest and have been missing the Blue and
the Williams Fork- anyone have been fishing out there lately?

Oh for God's sake. I didn't see the original post but is it the case
that someone who's interested in fishing stumbled onto this NG,
suggesting that we might be interested in what he/she has to offer?

And has he/she been told to F/O?

If so, I hope it's been made clear that the arrogant haughtiness is
purely an American Imperial pov, and that other roffians might actually
be interested?

Where in the midwest? Somewhere you could pick me up in Omaha on the
way to nice water?

I don't think it's a big deal, and I don't think that it's indicative of
arrogant American imperial haughtiness, although there's plenty of that
to go around.

The guy made a Usenet boo-boo and seems sincerely remorseful. I hope he
hangs around and talks fishing. It won't be long before Wolfgang calls
him a moron, though.

Frank,

I am in St. Louis but I have had many trips through Nebraska when I
lived in Iowa (back and forth to Colorado). Actually went on my first
and only duck hunt in Paxton, NE. Had a blast... but if I am going to
freeze my rear off, I am going to do it in a river with a fly rod. I
do have alot of friends out in the Denver area- might have to do a
trip here soon. If you are heading out to CO, I recommend March. The
Blue River is such a great time- either below Dillon (can get
crowded... but there are some HOGS or down past Green Mountain Res
where I like to go). October is also a good time for the browns on the
Williams Fork/Colorado among other areas. Actually anytime can be good
to excellent. I miss Colorado- but I grew up bass fishing, so the
Midwest isnt so bad. There are some great small rivers out here that
have some good bass in them that are fun on a 5wt.

Where do you go in Nebraska?

Evan

No hard feelings.I am getting a fishing related service off the ground
and my post had quite a commercial tone to it- which is why I pulled
it. Probably didnt help that it was the first post I made either- but
none the less- lesson learned.

For trout, there's not much to be had unless you hit the Niobrara.
Other than that, I travel east (PA) or west (MT). Its pretty much
1136 miles either way.

Well, at around 700 or so miles- you can be up in Northwest Michigan
for some top notch fishing!

But you are right- if you want good fly fishing in the Midwest- you
have a drive ahead of you.

That is true- heading to southern MO and northern AR does have some
good fishing.
