His three most memorable performances for me were Will Penny,
Ben Hur of course, and the most memorable of all, his poignant
and heartfelt farewell. Whether you agree or disagree with his
personal views the man was a class act.

I understood that he really didn't have much "politics" UNTIL the NRA
approached him and that he so missed his Hollywood heydays and craved
the attention they showered on him, that once the ball got rolling the
thesbian in him took over and the rest is history. But he is gone and

You are well within in your rights.

Anyway, I wasn't "aiming for" anything. However, I DID write your

Never ceases to amaze me that you always know everything in advance,
one of the things which presumably renders answering you superfluous.

There is no point as such, I saw the opportunity to post what I
thought was an amusing one-liner, and so I did.

You proceeded to make a song and dance about it, which is surprising,
as if you know everything in advance, there would seem to be even less
point in your doing so, than in my original post, which had none.
